Very interesting concept! I would love to try it out. I live 40 min from LA. Being that I am currently on vacation here in Hawaii I think this would be a fantastic place to have the program. Bit of a reach going from La to Hawaii, but I've been hesitant to play a round here due to wondering what the conditions of the rental clubs would be. A program like this here would all but elimate those concerns. Thanks for the opportunity!

Would be great if customers could customize bags by major classses - woods, irons, wedges, putter.

 

Would also love to see miura irons and woods in there with different flexes available for shafts!

Cool concept. I'm not near LA or going anywhere near it anytime soon, but I'm curious about the price point. I paid to have my clubs shipped to Aruba to play and it was around $50 to have them tossed in the plane. It was such a pain and sort of stressful lugging around $1000+ worth of club with me in a foreign place... For trips where I'm not driving, this would be pretty nice.

Really cool business model! Definitely seems like a great option if you're traveling or looking to test a new set you're looking to buy. I live in LA and enjoy going to Roger Dunn to hit a new club but this would give me the chance to use the clubs on course with a really low investment of renting for a day or two!

Thanks for your interest, PapaTortuga! We'd love to set you up when you're back in LA, and we agree that the service could be very helpful in Hawai'i. For us mainlanders, getting clubs to Hawai'i is a serious undertaking, and renting clubs in Hawai'i can come with the same concerns as renting them here. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the island visit!

Interesting ideas, nwlim. Can you clarify your bag customization idea? Are you imagining being able to rent, say, irons only during a given session? Consider your Miura suggestions noted! And we'd love to be able to offer the service in the Greater Boston area soon.
