Looking For Info on a Bettinardi

I got the opportunity to caddie for Alex Burge, All American at Illinois (extra cool because we were in school there at the same time). He had a Bettinardi that I believe was a tour BBZero, but it was a gray or faded black finish, and I believe carbon steel (but I'm not sure, I asked and he didn't give me a good answer) but in the cavity was just a hexagon with a T and it had a semi deep milling on it. It was a great looking putter and I'd love to try to find one, just don't exactly know what I'm looking for! Thanks!!

Description was excellent...i pretty much had the a picture of the putter in my head after I read your description. I had a tour dept putter a few years ago that was given to me by a tour player. Not sure how you would get your hands on one, but calling is def your best bet. Hope this helps

Nick doesn't own tourstockputters any more. He sold it to Will Peoples of The Peoples Clubs. He has some stuff or try Jimmy at 303milled.com. or as others have said, talk to the guys at Bettinardi like Chris Barker. If you go custom you will only be able to get it made in DASS, no carbon for customs currently.

at least I know I'm not going crazy and that round wasn't a dream: I caddied for Justin Thomas and Alex Burge at the same time O_O

If I go down there (it's only an hour or so away from me), would there be someone I could talk to? and like i said, I didn't know if it was carbon but it didn't have the classic SS shine

You can find some pretty great T our Department sticks in the classifieds on WRX. Definitely check there too

I'd call them first. There is a woman named Trish who works at the front and she is AMAZING. Very helpful and will give you any information you need.

This sucks....probably not going to buy another one from Bettinardi after hearing this (nothing against Will, I've bought from him too over the years). Hate to say how much I've spent with them over the years between Jimmy and Nick, and I slowed down over the past year or two, but I think I'm done now. Times have changed and they've moved in a different direction with their tour stock business model. I'm moving on too.

Bettinardi is headed in a different direction with The Hive, but I don't see how this is a reason to move on? I'm sure the distributors were great, as most reps that are under the Betti name have been, but the product is only getting better. I'll keep buying because of the name, their product, and the way they always stand by their work with incredible customer service - none of which is going anywhere. Just my two cents...

Yeah, the distributors were great, and that was the model they originally used for selling their tour stuff. Then they basically squeeze both of them out so they can cut out the middle man (and jack up prices in the process). For me, the product brought me in, and the relationships I formed with Jimmy and Nick and the other collectors kept me coming back. Now they are all gone, and I've got an overall net negative perception of the brand. So I'm done. To each their own.

I was there Tuesday had a lot of putters in the hive, also had a bbzero in carbon steel. As mentioned before I would recommend calling as the hive is appointment only. Any questions feel free to PM me.
