Private clubs in Franklin, Tennessee

My wife and I are going to be relocating to the Franklin Tennessee area in a couple of months. Both kids are in college so golf is more important than the club features. Our club here in Michigan is around $400 per month and would like to keep the monthly around the same. We drove around the area a little and passed by some of the clubs. The main 2 things I am looking for is a course in great shape with faster greens. Also, a great group of guys to play with. I am a higher single digit golfer and usually play with guys from a 1 to 14. We always play for a little something, have a lot of laughs and give each other some grief. Looking for some suggestions to find a great club with a similar bunch of guys.

Haven't played it, but The Vanderbilt Legends Club has 36 holes and they are running a really good initiation special in October if you call/email them. All of the other courses already listed are also great!

Never been to Hideaway but The Legends Club (Vandy) is nice. Nice practice facility.

Last I heard..10k initiation paid 1k a year and about $500 a month unlimited golf and cart. It's a pure golf club no other amenities besides bar/dinning area. Best course in the area from a true players perspective..hard as you want to make it.

 

The hideaway (I'm a member) isn't offering any more non residential memberships that I am aware of at this time. They are looking to possibly modify some holes.

Thanks, the aerial view looks amazing. I spoke with the membership director and they said no outside memberships at this time and the home prices are a little outside of what we are looking to pay. He did invite me to play and I will definitely take him up on that.

I am a member at NGAC - PM me and I can answer any questions you have. Great layout that is very challenging (hosts the Web.com) on a great piece of property right in the heart of Cool Springs. With the new superintendent over the last few years, condition has improved dramatically.

That’s what sucks with middle Tennessee. I’m (one of the few) born and raised right here in Williamson Co. the public golf here sucks. It’s all private. I do love a lot of the private course but at 36 and 2 young kids I can’t justify CC membership for several more years. Oh well.
