Old Course: Sundays: is it closed every Sunday??

Hello GolfWrxers,

 

Once upon a time, I understood that the Old Course at St. Andrews was closed to golf on Sunday's.

 

Is the Old Course still closed on Sundays in the high season ( June, July, Aug, Sept) ??

 

If yes, what about the other courses on the same ground operated by the Links Trust ( New, Jubilee, Eden) ??

 

Are those courses also closed on Sundays ??

Old Course is closed.

 

Looking at the website it sure appears the other courses are available for play.

 

There is also a list of "busy dates" if you want to see about particular events on particular courses.

Yes, Old Course is always closed on Sunday, except for a few tournaments. No booking possible at all.

 

 

If yes, what about the other courses on the same ground operated by the Links Trust ( New, Jubilee, Eden) ??

Other courses are all open on Sundays

It‘s practically a public park on sundays with families strolling on the course and children playing in the bunkers.

Yes, we are planning to do exactly that next June.

Arrive in St. A on Sunday - planning a picnic if the weather allows (it's a "family" trip with non-golfers)...walk some of the course and a visit to Himalayas.

 

Tee time at New course on Mon, Old Course on Tuesday and Jubilee on Wed...cannot wait

LOL, also New Course on Monday and Old Course on Tuesday in June. Will definitely be walking the Old Course, every inch, on Sunday.
