Are my Cobra irons counterfeit?

I bought a set of Cobra Fly Z+ irons on eBay from DallasGolf recently...

this was the gist of the listing...

Cobra Fly-Z+ Forged iron set includes clubs 5-PW. The set is in fair condition with major scratches on the faces. The clubs are standard length and the 7-iron is 37 inches.

I got the irons the other day and noticed that the 7 iron was almost new and the other irons were in about the same used condition.

I looked closer and a few things stuck out.

1. The 7 iron has different serial number than the 6 iron

2. The part of the shaft band that typically shows the flex is on the 7 but looks to be intentionally scratched off of the other irons.

I've reached out to Dallas Golf but haven't heard a response.

Do you guys think any of these are fake/counterfeit?

Why would the 7 have a different serial number? My guess is that it is either a replacement or purchased separately.

Why do you think the flex on the shaft band is scratched out?

Should I be concerned or nah?

I am not good with photos and telling counterfeits, but Dallas Golf Company is outstanding, so I can't imagine they would cheat you.

Most likely a crap DIY or shoddy club builder replacement job (see non-turned down ferrule). Never heard of nor seen any counterfeit Cobra gear. The Fly Z+ irons are severely underrated clubs. Hit em well.

No one is counterfeiting Cobra. You're safe. Those serial numbers are in the correct font and the shaft bands are no worry. I have a set of these irons custom from Cobra and they are amazing clubs. Severely underrated as others have said.

Yea lazy craftsmanship. Turning those ferrules is a 2 minute fix. I can’t stand messy ferrule work

as someone else has said Dallas golf is top notch, I bought some Cobra irons from them last year for a steal. I've never even once thought anything they have sold is counterfeit, you should have no worry.

I'd be more worried that the flexes on the shafts are the same (or that they're the same shaft at all). I agree that it looks like someone may have replaced a missing club. I'd be worried that they just bought the cheapest shaft they could find on eBay to do the job, regardless of whether or not it matched the set, before they traded them to Dallas Golf. The shoddy workmanship on the ferrule sure does point to a "good enough to get by" mentality on the club building, and it seems like a strange coincidence that all of the shaft bands wore so uniformly over the flex indication. Are the steps of the shafts all uniformly spaced?

Yap, I don't like the shaft bend being scrapped off intentionally. For what reason and what did the owner tried to hide ?

Scraping off the flex indicator instead of removing the shaft band or replacing them is sloppy, just like the reshafting job of the 6 iron.

Did the rest of the set looking like the 6 iron ? If they do, and you could not confirm on the shafts all matching in the set, I would return the set and tell the seller the reason why.
