Have a friend coming from out of town who happens to be a Club Corp member. Looking to play at the end of June. What's the general consensus on the top courses to play around that time of year?

 

Looking at: Atlanta National GC, Bear's Best, Laurel Springs Golf Club, Country Club of the South, and White Columns. Any others worth checking out?

 

Anyone played recently that can speak to course conditions?

Be careful if you go to Eagles Landing. Make sure you’re on the list at the guard gate. They don’t mess around there, even if you’re famous.

I play these on the regular (besides eagles landing). This is my rankings.

 

1. The manor

2. White columns

3. Atlanta National

4. Eagles landing

5. Country Club of South

Add The Manor to your list of possibilities. Of the ones you listed, I would say Atl National is the most difficult course. I love White Columns.

 

I'd skip bears best...

I hope I caught you in time to give my $.02. Since you asked about Northend clubs, I'd say check out The Manor and Brookfield. I've never played Atlanta National or CC of the South, but I've heard great things about them. Bear's Best is cool but not a "must play" course. I think Eagles Landing is definitely worth the drive. I just played it last week and it was in fantastic shape. I always love playing there!
