Naples / Marco / Ft. Myers players.

I play solo mostly and often wonder if my paired up playing companions are members here. Also I would enjoy playing with regional or visiting members on occasion. I wear golf attire at work and the sticks are in the trunk. I work mostly between Cape Coral and Naples. My schedule is highly dynamic so last minute golf is what i usually play.

Example: I just got an email canceling my Monday job. (thanks for the warning asshat, cost me a K). So I may just go play and see what shakes out.

I suppose this post is just to see if anyone is like me and can play at the drop of a hat or not. I was thinking of putting together a simple group text or PM chain.

It would give me (us) an excuse or opportunity to play courses we may not usually consider.

I'm thinking of Rookery, Hammock or Lely tomorrow but can go anywhere.

Or not.. could be a cruddy idea and we should all just go about our lives.

John

Working out of our office in North Naples and live out near River Hall. It would be hard to do a last minute thing as the clubs stay at the house. But with some notice I could work something out. Weekends are usually when I get to play.

I have a tee time at 10:10am this Sunday 8/12 at The Club at Fiddler's Creek. If you care to join. $65.00 at the pro shop.

I appreciate the invite but can't make it this weekend. Hope to catch up with some of you soon.

I was in Naples November 1-4 with 6 great friends. We rented a huge house in Bonita Springs and got in 4 awesome rounds in 4 days. The weather was perfect. It only rained a couple of times during dinner time. We played Raptor the 1st day Mid afternoon and it played very hard because playing in the afternoon means the wind kicks up. We also played TPC Treviso bay on a relatively calm morning and it was some really great golf. The condition of that course is probably the very best in the whole area and the range and chipping area are spectacular. The clubhouse is amazing and eating lunch after the round on the veranda overlooking the 9th green is so sweet. We all loved TPC, but agree'd it was very difficult but a very fair design. Lots of water, so you have to be good off the Tee. We played from 6450 yards. We also played Lely Flamingo and Mustang and both courses were in very good shape. We had an amazing time and hope to do a simliar trip next November again. My twin brother and I just turned 50 and we planned this trip with 5 close friends and it couldn't have been better. The home we rented was like a Mansion and it made it all the better. We ate out a couple of nights , once on 5th Ave and the other time on the water up in Bonita Springs. The Red Tide also was gone so we were also able to swim everyday after golf, was a Blast ... Love Naples ! Pic below from TPC

In the Naples area and try to get out once a week. Got some buddies that are members are Naples Grande and Royal Poinciana so play those a lot. My favorite is still Old Corkscrew.

Will be in Pelican Landing for the entire month of January and looking for folks to play with. Will likely be able to get out at least a couple times a week. Prefer mornings but day of the week doesn’t matter. The wife will likely make me spend a couple days a week looking at homes for sale as we’re contemplating a second home for the winter months. Would love to try out some of the private clubs as my intention would be to find a place on a course in a gated community. Quick player with a 6 index if it matters.

Played at River Hall this week. Yeah, great shape and an absolute bargain. Low green fees, check Golfnow and River Hall’s website. I paid $36 at a Ft Myers muni also. Not worth it, won’t mention the name but northerners seem to like the cow pasture for some reason. It pays to check the greens fees first.
