Can Continental Golf or the Iron Factory make my Dads Irons look new?

Hello

 

My dad plays Mizuno MP53 Irons and old Nike Wedges.....

 

They are somewhat beat up and have nicks all over some chips, scratches but no major browning.

 

Can I send these in to a company and have them refinished?? How will they turn out? I want them to look like new.

 

Also the wedges are the VR Forged Wedges with the old grooves - neither of us play competitively and he wants the Grooves As Sharp as when he bought the club. Can they regroove the wedges?? Will they spin as much as they did when they were first out?

 

 

What company is the best at this?

 

Do they re groove the irons as well??

 

 

Are there any before and after pics of the process for Chrome irons ?

I’ve dealt with continental golf for putters. I’ve been very happy. Even though one refinish didn’t go as smoothly as either of us would have liked they got it right and the took very good care of me. Look up the phone number and give them a call. They’ve been nothing but honest with me in my dealings with them. Maybe they’ll ask for a few pics and let you know what they can do.

The Iron Factory is the go to place for rechroming. Sounds like your dads clubs don't need regroving so that's a moot question, but yes, they regroove for an extra fee. There are countless threads here discussing the Iron Factory so try the search feature for info. Continental doesn't rechrome.

If you need them to look like new, they after cleaning out the bumps and nicks, you will have to get them rechromed. You can choose to leave them raw but then they will rust quickly.

 

The Iron Factory is what most everyone will suggest that you go to for the above.

 

I’ve dealt with Continental Golf personally and they are awesome people. Wonderful with putters and wedges (including re-grooving) but they do not chrome.

If contental golf doesn't rechrome irons what can thye do with my Nike VR Blades?

I wouldn't mind sending in my Sm2 at the end of the season to get them redone

can they make the grooves on my SM2 new again (New like old groove shred the ball sharp?)
