I have one of these and it’s pretty good. I just got it last month and have used it twice for range time. Easy to use and gives the basic stats of swing speed, ball speed and smash factor. Probably not the most accurate in terms of distance but great feedback for the price point. The fact that it announces the distance is great and the “Approach” mode makes practice into a game.

Yes and no. Since it is a doppler radar tracking a moving object, it should be able to track the ball. However, it will measure the result of that ball (a sponge type ball has way lower mass and COR than a real golf ball so ball speed and initial launch angle will be very different). If you are looking for something that will be able to extrapolate distance based on club data, you'll need to look elsewhere (I believe the Optishot only measures the club so that would likely work for that use case, although the accuracy is questionable).
