Now Photograph I can get on board with for sure.

But my favorite Beatle ( though not that much into the group myself) was the guy who completed this group styper.....and this is one of my favorite songs of all time. Special song.

Petty was my favorite, and Jeff Lynn was a hugely under valued Rock God.

The Wilbury's were just special.

No 1960's household was complete with out a Sunbeam electric knife for carving up the slabs of meat one would offer when entertaining.

I still have the one that was in my family. It saw plentiful use carving up turkey's in the Detroit suburbs from 1965- 75 !

I said I would dig it out of storage for this thread, and here it is.

You know to " save me the neck Clarke" for cousin Eddy. !

That's model EK-100 gents. Get it electric E knife K (random number say 100). My heavens life was simpler for us back then folks. I often find myself saying to adults that my generation was the last one that had a Normal American upbringing. Am I right or what boys?

Yep, that’s the one I have somewhere!!! Went looking for mine today, but for the moment it is MIA. (Probably still tucked in a box from a move nearly 20 years ago.)

Thanks for the effort though in locating yours stryper. I satisfied the crowd of 3 ( Pete, Qqq, and of course King Bobcat) by posting the genuine article we speak of friend.

1965 is the year I was born so just a few years behind you. I agree with your believing our generation is amongst the last 'normal' upbringing. Great pic of your family!

Also, my Dad had one of those electric knives as well. He was an awful cook lol.. but no matter. Dinner conversation was always lively and sometimes pretty freaking funny!

Thanks Steele for coming to the same conclusion regarding our generation. It is really so obvious when you think about it . I was born in 1961. More on "our upbringing " in the future I suppose. Thanks also sir for the compliment on my family photo.

Glad you are a regular on this thread, and I look forward to you contributions Steele.

I’m just a few years older, born in ‘59. I’m on the right with my dog Pokey and my older brother. Those were good days.

Touch,

Happy belated birthday ya old coot! I wont be 58 for several months yet so I guess I can razz you until then. Seriously, glad you had a fun day.

My Mom still has one of those eletric knives, and I always use it to carve the ham/turkey when she is hosting a holiday gathering. Still works great.

Also, looking at the family pic, I had the same haircut for most of the 60's with the buzzed sides. Nice looking family man.

I agree with your "normal" statement as well. .............And this is a 60's video for you, I'm sure she's singing to you, You've been the preident of something, right?

Oh my! Ole Bicknell my mid western brother where have you been? First thanks very much for the belated B day wish. It's too funny how the electric knife fits right in on this thread. Haircuts same check...P.F. Flyers or Ked's shoes check too.? Why did your Colts have to suck last Sunday? cost me few. lol

Again it is great to see ya round here sir. I really enjoy my man Bicknell's contributions. Hope all is well in Johnny Cougar Land.
