Solid flashbacks and shared beloved songs from our youth, that is what has been plentiful on the 60's and 70's song appreciation thread.  

 

 

This has been such a cherished spot for many of us for a long time now.

We can choose to just hang out or regularly contribute. 

All involved I believe have found musical joy from their earlier years brought to the forefront.

Magical stuff indeed.

I am starting something new this morning in the way of contributions to this thread and hope others will follow. How about we post up a photo of ourselves from back in the 60's or 70's and a song or two from that specific year. This will be fun and also quite funny. I'll kick it off. Here I am with my parents back in the summer of 1974 up at our cottage in Northern Michigan. I was 13 years old. Love the short cut off's Lawrence, and man that's a fine bushy mop of blonde hair kid.  😁

It's funny you mention that. I grew up in Detroit and St. Louis and during all of those years I was asked very frequently if I was from southern California. It's only because I am of Scandinavian descent. I have never surfed but I was for a time in the late 70's a decent skateboarder. 

I have a somewhat substantial amount of the blonde stuff left fortunately, though it is nowhere near as dense. 😁
