Who DESIGNS the Maxfli golf balls?

This thread is about the Maxfli brand. If you want to continue your incessant ranting about the Bridgestone/Acushnet litigation, start another thread.

It was about who manufactures Maxfli balls then morphed to patent technology then morphed to how amazing Titleist balls were. I proceeded to inform everyone that Titleist’s balls were based on stolen Bridgestone patents. I’m totally fine talking about Maxfli balls as based on multiple independent tests, are proven to be just as good as any other brand at half the cost. Just like other things in life, if you dont like how it is going, you are free not to participate in the ongoing discussion. I didn’t see any of your comments focusing on Maxfli so maybe we both derailed. Going back and reading your posts, I’d think it is a Taylor Made thread.

Wait a minute, I just went back and read the earlier posts. Nothing "morphed". YOU came into the thread and out of nowhere posted a rant about Titleist. Total thread-jack, total troll job.

I apologize to the forum for getting suckered into engaging with such obviously bad faith you-know-what stirring.

TaylorMade owned the Maxfli brand before selling to DSG in 2008 so it is relevant to the OP and all of my posts have been a response in an effort to clarify and/or to correct misinformation. There was no mention of Bridgestone or Titleist before your initial post and as @North Butte pointed out, we were responding to your thread jacking posts.

Back on topic; I have religiously played ProV1s basically since they were introduced.  I played Strata when they first came out, and very much enjoyed the Nike (ehem....Bridgestone) Tour Accuracy ball that at one point was the winning ball in all the Majors at the same time.

All that said, the current Maxfli Tours are the absolute first ball I recommend to anyone that asks my opinion.  I am too stuck in my ways to change (I can admit my biases), but I have played a few rounds with a Maxfli Tour and was extremely impressed.  IMO when on sale at DSG or GG they are the best value in golf balls.

I also "believe" (but can't prove) that anything "designed by/for Maxfli" is fancy advertising for whatever combo of core/mantle/cover that the Foremost Golf Ball plant offers.  I don't think it's any special formula, but instead more of a combination of components.  IMO it's the same as me saying a SIM2 with a Ventus Black with a Golf Pride MCC with +2 wraps of tape is a "designed by/for Hougz" driver......

So I revive a 3 month old top with discussion about ball patents. Got it, next time, let thread die and keep people from getting "triggered." I'm betting if I started a new Titleist thread, it would get the same comments. Fan boys protecting their ball's integrity. Now, to Maxfli, there shouldn't be too much discussion. There are basically 2-3 overseas factories that make and design open model golf balls (Vice, Cut......) so it is one of them. I've played the Maxfli ball for over a year and can't say enough about it. Most people won't try it because of pride and it doesn't have the right logo for them on it, but all you have to do is look up the testing data against any other major ball. There is little to no difference in performance for a ball that is less than half price of the larger brands.
