I'll start with the Nike Review.

1. Shaft: I chose the 660TR because alot of guys have tried it and its a solid shaft, mid launch and mid torque. I thought the shaft was a good compliment to this head. Some nice high flat trajectory drives of some decent distances. No suprises here.

2. Feel: Pretty subjective stuff but here goes. I've tried almost ever type of driver produced over the last few years( and then some). I'll compare it to the Ignite and say, I like this SQ tour much more than the Retail Ignite and the Tour Ignite. Still has a metallic sound at impact but the feel was noticably better than the Ignite. More solid feeling. I had trouble with the Ignite sweetspot being more toward the heel. The SQ Tour sweetspot was center and high on the face(and pretty wide).

3. Forgiveness: Johnny brought his Tour FT-3 and immediatly we both felt this SQ was easier to hit than the FT-3. The SQ face is a little shallower so it probably spins more the the FT-3, but I would not say this is a high spin head. Similar spin to the R7 shallow. I didn't hit the ball that great today but got some decent results both in distance and direction. I don't know if it's the higher MOI or what but this club is a petty straight shooter.

4. Distance: I'll start this by saying I think the Tour SQ launches a little lower than some other heads. I've played alot of 9.5 heads lately but the SQ was noticably lower. So, with the launch angle a little low I don't think I got the most out of this club. I think the distance is very comparable to any other 460 head on the market. I'd like to get on a launch monitor to see if I can't squeeze a few more yards out of this loft, or move up to the 10.5 loft.

5. Summary: I think Nike went after a more forgiving design now that it is probably tougher to squeeze any more distance out of the USGA COR restictions. If that's the case I'd say this head deserves big ups. The feel is good, the looks are okay and the performance was very forgiving.

My review of the SQ Tour.

Shaft... 660TR...one of my favorites since the 300 Tour days..haven't swung one in years but it still a great shaft, could play it again with no complaints.

Feel and Sound : first sound... it's pretty loud. Has a kinda of ignite sound maybe a tad higher pitched. It wasn't that bad actually. Feel is pretty good which was a nice surprise to me. The comes off the face pretty hot compared to the slightly dead feel of my FT-3. I also agree that it feels better the ignites for me.

Forgivness : Maybe it was the sweetspot more toward the heel, but it's pretty darn easy to hit straight. I banged about dozen balls on the range and used it on a few tees shots and really didn't hit any bad ones. Poked a few out there 280ish or so without little trouble. My FT-3 is much more demanding head and shaft wise, but when you nail one it's so rewarding.

Distance : no complaints.. distance was pretty good. I hit it pretty high, probably just as high as my FT-3 which actually measures a little above 10 in loft.

Appearance : I'm going to add this because the from address it's actually not too bad. It's still a huge club with sort of a 460 ignite sized face, huge sole, but I will say that grey portion of the back of the club is wonderful at hiding the size.

Summary : Overall this club is very good..I'll admit that shaft did not hurt..but the head is very playable. I have not been swinging too well lately, but the SQ kept me out of trouble. (wish I could say the same for my lobwedge)

Overall it was a fun day...always nice playing a new course with a cool guy. Really struggled on the greens which were sooooooooooooo slow, compared to the blazing fast practice green. See that follow through with my putter pic..well I was still 10 yards short. :tongue:

Thanks Johnny for letting me test out some of that COOOL Tour gear of yours.

It's always fun to check out a NEW course. We've been lucky here in Nor Cal. Quite a few new course and most if not all good.

This course was weird. The front nine was pretty flat and holes ran parallel. BORING. The back was cool. Elevation changes, more scenery, more demanding shots.

The practice green was a joke. Right next to the first tee was the most wicked little green. Three tiers, lightning fast. Almost unputtable. When you got out on the course the greens looked the same but were SUPER SLOWWWW????

It took us alomst nine holes to figure it out. Then we started on the back and the greens got fast???

Good Day - Looking forward to the Nor Cal Outing Nov 27th @ Poppy Ridge

Thanks guys for the review. I'm supposed to meet up with the local Nike guy in the next week or so. He should have a few of these so I'll have to try and talk him out of one.

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
