"We spend a great deal of time on cosmetics and get very high marks for being innovative and stylish while still respecting the game. We also get lots of feedback prior to launching, so we don't have regrets. KING F9 Speedback has great performance and our sales are up so we are pleased with the results.

There has never been a better choice of equipment and prices in the market than today. We have to compete on performance and price in every category. Given that replacement cycles for clubs is at least 4-5 years, and we make better product every year, even a 1-2 yr old product is way better than a 6-7 yr old product, the consumer is the winner. So no, we don't think higher new prices are scaring people from the game, just go to almost any muni course and look in golfers bags, most of it is old and they are giving up performance. The complainers are the ones who want new, better perfomance for cheap prices, and global economic conditions won't allow that to exist any more. From a macro business model, think of golf clubs to be like cars, more tech/performance costs more and not electronics (where better eventually costs less, but not for early adopters).

Same question about taking advantage of Cobra/Puma distribution to leverage acquisition of a Snell/Vice indy ball manufacturer.

We are very focused on what we are doing to bring innovation to the market so it is always better than spreading ourselves too thin. This strategy has helped us to grow and we expect to continue those efforts. For those who haven't been in our line of work, it takes much time, energy and money to establish other categories; not only in creating, but also in supplying, marketing, selling and servicing these additional categories - especailly in the case of golf balls, a different business model in a myriad of ways. So for now we are maintaining our focus of bringing great innovation and performance to full swing clubs.

> Where did the name "Cobra" come from? It does not immediately come to mind in the golf context....

Cobra was founded by Australian Tom Crow. From Australian Golf Digest: "Incidentally, the origin of the name Cobra is an interesting side story. The Crows were sitting in the living room of their Bellevue Hill home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. Tom was adamant he needed a one-word name to capture the imagination. Some of the big equipment makers at the time were defined by one iconic word: MacGregor. Ping. Ram. Wilson. Cally Crow, a more than competent artist, started doodling on a piece of paper. She drew an image of a snake that caught Tom’s attention: “Perfect! Cobra strikes back. Good for marketing.”

Lexi's ball speed is high 150's, low 160's. Her average carry numbers with driver are close 270. She certainly has more in the tank if she needs it, and has picked up some nice gains with our Speedback technology. - TO

> Whose idea was it for Rickie to put the Cobra F9 Speedback 4i in the bag? Do you think we will see more "forgiving" long irons in more tour pro bags moving forward?

"Ha.... his. He was hitting it at our media launch event in October and KILLING it. He asked; ""can I put this in the bag?"". Our answer... hello, you are Rickie Fowler, put whatever works best for you in the bag. For the record... there were a few of us predicting better players would game the F9 long irons. But Rickie... that was a pleasant surprise.

As for other players putting more ""forgiving"" long irons in the bag... only if they want to hit towering, consistent, soft landing long irons."

Key benefits are faster and longer through Speedback Design and CNC Milled face. People also love the way it sounds and feels. Works for all types of golfes so check it out at your next opportunity. We strongly believe it will outperform what's in your bag today!

If i hadn't just upgraded my irons recently, I believe i would've given one-length irons a chance, too. Do you see this as more of a fad/niche market or something that you can see growing and seeing more wide-spread use?

"One of the key inputs to buying clubs is when your friends play better with their new clubs and you start losing more bets!

ONE length is the real deal and we get great feedback that they are simpler and easier to play than variable length irons, but don't just take our word for it, go out and try them for yourself.

Not a fad and we just keep making them better every year. :)"

> With the F8 line, the CNC milled face was only in the driver, and in the F9 line, it was added to the fairway woods, what brought about that change? What are benefits?

> Is a hybrid with the CNC milled face in Cobra's future?

"We wanted to do the fairway at the same time as the driver, but steel is much more challenging to CNC machine vs titanium. Steel is harder and stronger so all of the machining parameters needed to be developed independently of the driver. This took us a little longer than expected so we couldn't do the F8 fws and added it to the F9 Speedbacks.

Hybrids present an additional challenge due to the offset hosel designs, so we are still working on those. Since we are still a 'for profit' business there are always economics to sort out. So it may happen some day, and it may not. "

We know that the KING F9 Speedback has more performance and speed vs previous drivers, but the only way for you to know is to go try it for yourself. Many golfers with your typical results have seen better performance, plus it looks and sounds great. In the end you deserve the best performance out there.

> Why did you choose yellow? Any significance?

"Rickie helped us choose it, for a number of reasons.

1. He has a great understanding of product design, colors and marketing.

2. He is a car and bike guy and really liked the way we tied in driver performance to high performance vehicles

3. We showed him many options and he felt yellow was a great way to show off the product, and even picked it over orange!

4. We wanted to take it to the next level, since F8 was a simpler look with the Nardo finish, and some feedback from the world said it lacked a little pizzazz visually."

> Thanks for taking time to discuss product with us? Regarding the f9 tour fairways, what sort of variation in ball speed and spin are you seeing in vertical direction? How is consistency/ forgiveness of face managed to keep reasonable spin for loft for strikes? I am asking because playing a different fairway at moment and has been difficult to displace from the bag because like being able to launch higher with less spin off tee on strikes higher on face, then hit down a bit more off deck and strike slightly lower on face generating a bit less distance spin. Know sounded like a highly technical question, not seeking any proprietary info., just very interested in the f9 tour fairways at initial test, certainly passes my eye test and interested in testing further, so would appreciate any response."

The F9 tour fwy does not have a very tall face, so this limits the variation (which is normally preferred) for high and low face strikes. However, we have seen up to 750-1000 rpm difference in the extreme cases of teed up vs hit low on the face off turf, depending on swing speed. This amount of spin would definitely be enough to manipulate your ball flight as described. In F9, loft and face angle are controlled precisely with face milling. This gives extremely high consistency from head to head.

The MIM launch was tight since its a completely new process and supply chain, and we are looking at additions in the future. For now, the KING Black wedges are still offered ion ONE length. - TO

> Thank you

We see a wide range of golfers enjoying ONE length irons and hybrids, and yes it is of great benefit to those who have back challenges (yours truly). It makes the game much easier to play, and especailly helps those who struggle with bending over shorter wedges. The key to the short game is consistency and that is difficult for those with back issues, especially since practice is sparse if at all. Chipping with a 7 iron length club is much easier and simpler and better for most of those golfers. (or anyone with a poor short game). The 7 irons posture is also a more natural athletic posture for almost all golfers vs a wedge posture.

We find that the Baffler technology really works with the front third of the sole, so the aft part doesnt come into play since the front third of the sole has already moved the divot out of the impact areas.

The Speedback technology is combining better aerodynamics with low CG, something that hasn't been done before. Check out our website for more details.

As for F9 driver improvements... it is funny, we even wonder if improvements can be made when we make a great club. Truth is, the design engineers have a hard time "putting their pencils down" and could have thrown a few more improvements in the design. At the same time an innovation engineer is sitting 50 feet away working on a club head platform with new materials and/or new constructions that take all the good stuff from F9 to a new level. And that cycle continues... we have great jobs.

> @blackngold_blood said:

> Any thoughts on re-releasing the Long Tom Driver with updated aerodynamics and the milled faced?

Nope. But if you want to you can order the F9 driver longer with 2 light weights in the head to get close to that type of performance in a longer club.

"We made them exactly how Rickie wants them, so it wasn't that difficult.

We have had a similar performance in the line for him for a long time with other prior models so glad to hear you have discovered the great Cobra performacne in every club we make."
