> Bridgestone Golf (and possibly other manufacturers) have had milled driver faces before Cobra by at least a year or two. What differentiates your driver face (CNC?) milling from Bridgestone and others? What makes the CNC driver face milling measurably better than other driver face milling? Outside of typical marketing claims of course?

Bridgestone's was hand ground and polished followed by laser etching which removes a small amount of material from the face while keeping the overall contour established by hand work. Our process is CNC milling which removes more material and creates a very precise contour and thickness over the entire face.

We only think about this on days that end in 'y'.

Good thing is our tour players use what we sell every day, so we don't have to make much extra 'Tour Only' stuff. What else would you like to see? - TO

> When the one lengths were originally released after you sign Dechambeau they seemed to be everywhere. I had multiple playing partners get sets and seemed to love them. They all went back to normal length irons within a couple of months. Has this been the trend that Cobra has noticed? Is demand for one length still as high as when they were released a few years back? Thanks for your time.

ONE length continues to be a strong product for us. While some players did try them and revert to variable length sets, many more became full time converts. Players who want ONE length to perform exactly like variable length have a hard time transitioning....because they are different! But many players enjoy more consistency in their long irons, and increased trajectory and stopping power in their shorter clubs. Those players have found ONE length to be indispensable. - TB

TO says way too many protos for the budget. :) Many designs on the computer, down to a few different protos, then working though any issues to come up with final designs. - TO

Do you guys ever record the sessions you have with your tour players going over design and such? I have always wondered how in depth they get when they start making suggestions or asking questions about new designs. Would be cool to see some of the prototyping and discussion as the product evolves heading into launch. Something to refer back to after launch to get the story on how the club came to be.

> How have the Baffler Rails evolved over the past generations (size & material) and do you see them to be continued in future releases?

Back when woods were, well, wood, the original rails were part of the brass sole plate screwed onto the bottom of the club. Since then, the evolution of rails has included wide rails (T-Rail circa 2013) and more than two rails (Baffler Rail circa 2012). We have put tungsten in the rails (T-Rail again) and in between the rails. The more recent editions are made of steel, and vary in height depending on the club they are on. Rails are more pronounced on clubs with steeper angles of attack. - RR

> You guys really have stepped up your club game in recent years. What tour players give the best feedback and how does their input impact performance?

> Anyone ever want something that just can’t be delivered?

Rickie was inspiration behind bringing rails back on the F6 baffler 5 wood. His coach thought he should give it a try, our tour staff frankensteined some up for him and it was love at first strike.

Rickie was also key in helping finalize the look of KING F9 Speedback drivers. - TB

Bryson has been key in all of the ONE length design, from how he plays them to what he is looking for, as well as many things about shafts and specs. Obviously his specs are different due to his single plane swing, but many of his learnings are applicable to normal swings. Obviously the entire idea of ONE length came from him and without Bryson's success and our relationship with him, it's doubtful we would have developed them. - TO

We have garnered insights around; individual club performance by skill level, set composition, gapping, usage, etc. All of that helps us make better clubs and recommend set compositions. Engagement? Great question. We have engaged consumers on a small scale as we are learning about them and their data. We have gone deeper on ONE length, they work! Much broader connections are coming! Do you use Arccos or any form of shot tracking system? If so... curious as to any insights you have gained. - MY

That's like asking which of your kids you like the most! The list of modern Cobra classics is long, but a few standouts include: Low HDCP: Bio Cell Pro; Mid & High HDCP: ZL Encore & Fly-Z. But you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't at least give F9 a go because it beats them all. - RR

No weaker lofts but forgings are relatively easy to bend. We can always bend them 1 degree weaker in Custom. Go hit them and see how they work before you bend.

The tour length driver option has proven to be a great option for those looking for more accuracy off of the tee. The same concept could be applied to other clubs in the bag as well. - RR

We are leaders in Innovation in many ways. CNC Milled face on metals! Speedback Technology with great aero and low CG has never been done before in the industry. ONE length irons! MIM wedges, softer and more precise. I could go on and on...

The standard GI hybrids in the industry from most other companies no longer have adjustable sleeves so we are in line with industry trends. From our research this is mainly because golfers don't use them after purchase. For the better player, we have made adjustable Utility irons for several years, which is a much better use of the technology since better players are more consistent and can see differences through the adjusting process. And more recently others have followed us into this space, because its a better idea for the type of Utility irons. - TO

The damping in the King Forged MB irons, that gives them the great feel, is provided by the muscle back shape. There is also a tungsten insert that helps center the CG to improve feel and performance. - KC

For the modern Cobra Puma Golf since 2010 its the KING F9 Speedback. We are also seeing the highest Cobra market share since 2006. In fact, we are the #1 driver in the UK and some other European countries. Climbing the US share ranks as well so things are going very well this year. - TO

The DBM black finish on the Forged Tec & CB/MBs is amazing - how satisfying is it to see competitors still coming out with PVD offerings that will start wearing off immediately?! Can we expect that upcoming offerings will continue to incorporate this finish?

> What makes your wedges different from Vokey and with level of player are they designed for?

A key differentiator between Cobra wedges and our competitors is the notch on the back of the sole.  This lets the wedge sit lower to the ground and allows the wedge to be opened up more without raising the leading edge.  Our new King MIM wedges are more precisely manufactured due to the Metal Injection Molding (MIM) process that does not require hand polishing to finish them.  This precision results in more consistent peformance and better feel. More details on the MIM process are available on the Cobra web site.

Thanks for the reply! It has been great to read the questions and replies. With the release of Tiger spec'd irons, it would be neat to see something like Lexi spec'd equipment and an expansion of ladies golf equipment for better women golfers.

> Thanks for your time!

1) Choose the shafts through testing with range of players we are targeting. Overall we know the shaft specs that most players fit into, and we know the head properties, so there is some matching up that occurs, but mostly its players hitting, getting their data/feedback and picking what works best. However, this is usually only covering the middle of the bell curve, and we know the best way for the individual is to get fit. There are tons of options out their and if you are spending the $$$, then its worth going all the way through the fitting process, as no one want to leave any performance behind.

2) Check out the King Utility still available at retail, with MYFly Sleeve and Connect! - TO

> I have a Junior looking for a new driver, but he's a pretty strong kid. Right now there is no custom option to cut 2.5 inches from a standard length driver. Is there anything we can do for him other than put him into a junior flex shaft?

"If he is too strong for the junior shaft, then we recommend you order the KING F9 Tour Length Speedback driver in a softer flex (if you order it 2"" shorter than the standard F9 Driver length, this will give you a 43 1/2"" driver with the Cobra Connect grip - this can be ordered by calling Cobra Puma Customer Support, not through our web site) and either choke down, or take it your local club builder to have them adjust it shorter. There are some internal challenges that limit what we can offer, but there are lots of great club builders out there to help you dial it in.

The challenge of fitting individuals with limited info is why there are so many options for fitting out there. And if he's a strong kid, he will continue to grow into the longer club and build even more strength."

Yes. BUT WHY WOULD YOU? (that was rhetorical) We have a lot of Cobra Connect grips available, I bet we have one that will work for you. Honestly... getting driver performance info from the Arccos Driver app is gold. Heck, fill out your set with more connected clubs like the KING F9 irons or get yourself an Arccos Smart Sensor kit and get insightful data on your entire bag. Play Smarter. Shoot Lower Scores. I was channeling a marketing guy there. But you will play better. - MY

We use a Titanium alloy called 8-1-1. It is a little stiffer than the traditional Ti 6-4 alloy. We also use Carbon Fiber for the wrap crown. Performance gains from the structure and the Speedback technology are faster clubspeed, ballspeed and higher launch w less spin. All great for distance. - TO

There used to be a bunch of great color options for drivers etc. I was mostly hoping have more options beyond the current availability. Or even bringing back the custom options like the Bio Cell+ had would be awesome.
