I am traveling to NYC and considered setting up a putter fitting at True Spec. I'm trying to figure out the best way to take my putter only. TSA looks like carry on is a no go. I found a smaller case from SKB. Anyone have experience with it? Or any other suggestions?

Seems like overkill for a one time thing. Why not just put it in a sturdy cardboard box? Practically every club shipped from a manufacturer or retailer arrives in one piece in a good box.

Initally my thoughts would be that they probably have your putter if its a model released in the last few years but i assume you have a pretty unique/rare putter since you're even considering a $175 case just for this purpose. Do you really NEED to bring it though? I understand wanting to evaluate your current stroke but if the intention is finding a new set-up does it really matter?

Have you considered shipping it to True Spec via something like Ship Sticks?
