Aldila RIP Tour 115S- need a steel replacement shaft

Can anyone suggest a close comparable iron shaft as a replacement for the Aldila RIP Tour 115 stiff? I would love to see a chart from Wishon’s software for close suggestions. These are becoming a pain to track down a full set or two, and I will be needing to figure something out for my MP-20 set....

I dont' think so.

 

Cosest I can think of would be the Steelfibers, but event those aren't a great match. The rip irons shaft was pretty unique. Soft butt but then quickly got very stiff in the midsection and tip.

Thanks for the data! How does PX 6.0 or 6.5 look against the RIP? I used to have PX6.5 in the irons and 6.0 in the past. The ball flight for the RIP looked very similar to the PX when I made the change, part of what sold me on the RIP...

I’ve hit the Modus 3 and it feels completely different. Stiff butt and mid, soft tip.

PX's are stiffer in the butt, softer in the middle and still a little softer in the tip. But keep in mind that weight is generally more important than the stiffness profile so a jump in weight could potentially be problematic.

Thank you for the data. In looking at the profile, it’s no wonder that the transition to RIP from PX was so easy.

With regard to the weight difference, the raw shaft lengths of the RIP Tours are much shorter, I’m only cutting an inch off max, I’m cutting much more from the PX. I’ll see if I can find a like for like shaft and check the cut t length weight. If I find it, I’ll post for reference sake.
