Titleist 907 D2 Tour Issue vs Titleist TS4

I am currently in search of a Tour Issue 907 D2. Just wondering how this driver compares with Titleist's latest range of TS drivers (in particular the TS4, which apparently offers lower spin numbers than the TS2/TS3 models)? I know that the 907 D2 is 460cc, which is obviously less aerodynamic than the TS4's more compact 430cc head (very similar to the 907 D4, which had a 425cc head), but are there any noticeable differences in performance eg. distance and forgiveness? Am I also right in saying that the tour issue version of the D2 does not have any serial number stamped on the heel of the club?

Curious about what you’re hoping to gain from a 12 year old driver over current models, tour issue or not. The 907 series is usually regarded as the worst Titleist driver in the last 20 years (very high spinning)..,is a tour issue version fundamentally different? Plus it’s bore thru from memory which makes reshafting a real pain.

909 905 yes but go get fit and do a fresh start.

I just picked up a 910 D2 yesterday on Craigslist for $50! Looks practically new! I can't wait to hit it. Replacing R7 425.

 

Been looking for one for a while to match my 910F 15 and 910H 19 that I love. The 910 had some good reviews. 907, not so much.

If you want and the GOOD, get a 905 not a 907.

Not sure, but I hit the ts4 with my fitter and it is awesome! The ball feels really hot off of the face. Great shape as well, if you like smaller looking drivers. Comes with a higher price tag than I want to spend currently.
