Tighten the screws once in awhile.

Not sure why, but I decided to tighten my 917d3, 917f2, and 818h2. The adjustment screws, and weight port screws on all 3 were loose. When I say loose, I mean, they all need a 1/2 turn/turn before the wrench clicked. I hadn't felt that the performance was lacking, but played today, and all 3 clubs seemed to exhibit better contact, feel and results. Of course, this could simply be attributed to me swinging well today, but still, I would recommend the odd tightening. I've checked this sort of thing before, but never experienced any issue.

Buddy of mine his G30 driver had come loose so bad it cost him distance...a full turn to tighten it up and the he took the next hole in our wolf game!

Funny might as well add.....

 

How many times have you had your lofts and lies checked ESPECIALLY with Forged clubs.....I know NOW do mine yearly....

 

You would be surprised how strong your 4 iron loft bends after half a year of use, 24* Stock had it check it was 20*, 1* stronger than a 3 iron.... imagine how much your PW would be, after some solid abuse, that 46* PW might be a 40* PW....

Wooh, 20* stronger than a 3i, so was that like -3* of loft compared to a new 3i?

LOL!!! Whoops, sorry it was 20* when measured so 4* stronger than normal and 1* stronger than my 3iron.

 

I guess I was getting really steep on my 4 iron and banging the ground too hard LOL! Thanks for catching my mistake corrected!

Call me crazy, but this is one of the main reasons I play PING cast irons. I don’t think you sacrifice anything on looks, feel and especially performance, but on top of that, I know it will take a tremendous force of nature to change the specs much.
