Fake Tour AD MT-7X?

So I bought this shaft off a guy on craigslist about six months ago for a reasonable to low price, I did the typical Tour AD authenticity checks, i.e. raised rings, tape line, faint logos in the butt section, and it seemed to pass each of them, however recently the black lettering of Tour AD. GRAPHITE DESIGN, and MT-7X have nearly completely faded away. is this just regular wear or did I make a poor investment? Thanks

I'm pretty sure that can be considered normal bag wear. There are some Fuji shafts that are prone to being completely de-labeled in the same way.

Agreed, they appear authentic, just bag worn. I sometimes take the little butt end stickers off of mine, but here are some photos of some genuine ones:

If you buy something in that condition, you’re taking chances all the way around. There’s many things to be concerned about on a shaft in that condition. At this point in that shaft’s life, counterfeit might be the least of my concerns. It’s kind of like someone buying a used car with 300,000 miles on it, and asking if the tires look ok.
