Anybody Purchase MG TB•Zero Yet?

I ordered MG TC101, 7 iron through 4 iron from one2one Golf Shop, thin top line, double cut sole, D43 finish on February 28, 2020. Received Email stating they were shipped April 21st via EMS. Was not notified of any delays. Hope they won't take months to arrive. Have special ordered Miura clubs from them previously and had the clubs in hand within 8 weeks.

As of now, my Iron Heads are coming UPS to The United States.

 

My bag is going to wait for EMS to open.

 

I have to pay Fees to receive via UPS? That wasn't included in the $115.00 UPS Shipping Charge?

Post up pics of your irons when they come in... I placed my order today, cb1008 3-5 with a thin topline and reduced offset to help match up with the TBzero irons 6-pw. I went with D14 finish, no paint, initials, and Miura script on the muscleback.

No EMS from what I've heard, read of a 4 month wait as of now for backlogged packages. They ship on commercial planes so I don't see that magically speeding up unless they strike a deal with carriers who have planes to carry their packages. I ended paying extra $ to have UPS shipped, and yes, got dinged customs, but they arrived in 3 days and worth it to not wait potentially 4 months or longer.

I did the same with my Iron Heads via UPS.

 

My predicament is a Staff Bag. UPS is $625 to ship. Roughly $150 more than the Bag costs. Face Palm!

Have you done any customisations to the head?

 

i have ordered mine, asked for B2 bounce and also modified the FP where PW is 6 FP and 8 and 9 are 5.6 FP etc

 

been told about It will take about two months :(

I hear you, it wasn't cheap to ship, plus the duties too which weren't too bad actually. Fedex was almost double the UPS cost too. $625 is too big of a pill to swallow for a bag...

Did you ask for customisation? I.e. face progression changed for less or more offset? Or Sole grind Selection etc ?

Yup, on the TB Zero I did leading edge grind, copper underlay. On the TC 101 I did double cut, thin top line, +.5 onset, copper underlay. Ordered them with Shimada Your 115 shafts and really liking them.

all B2 leading edge sole grind. Liked the standard colour. So left the standard colour.

as per FP and bounce:5 iron: bounce: 4 ,FP: 4.6   6 iron: bounce: 4 ,FP: 4.97 iron: bounce: 5 ,FP: 5.28 iron: bounce: 5 ,FP: 5.69 iron: bounce: 6 ,FP: 5.6P iron: bounce: 7 ,FP: 6

so I’ve done modification to the FP as you can see above to achieve a particular offset.

i would like to see how the do the grind. If you could share a photo from the edge and the top sole where it shows the grinding.

@BlakeWal On a scale of 1-10, where do those MBs rank on a pure strike? And how does that compare to other MBs of similar design but different Fe concentration?
With such a high iron content, the crystalline structure more approaches that of pure iron

With less impurities to literally disrupt that structure, and basically add inconsistency to it at the molecular level, the literal feel of impact will be really precise and soft at the same time. Especially on a pure strike. And I'm just curious if you can feel it.

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on some 101's. Would you mind sharing address and sole pics, in particularly the short irons. How did the double cut sole turn out? I've been going back and forth between B2 and B3 since they already have a bit of grind on the leading edge.

unfortunately you Can’t request any change for the sole on MB101. Although the 101 similar looking to Tb-zero, The offset on 8-p on MB 101 is more. The only way to have less offset or even customise your onset even further and change the sole grind is to order through Miura Giken. I did mine through One2one golf.

miura provides their FP instead of offset number. To easily understand the offset they use hosel outline. The formula is 1/2 hosel outline - FP.

The hosel outline of the Miura Giken Iron is 13.7 mm.

Therefore, the distance to the hosel center is 6.85 mm.

The standard Miura giken FP for PW Iron is 5.5. Therefore, offset = 6.85 - 5.5 = 1.35 offset

the MB 101 PW FP is 5. Therefore, 6.85 - 5 = 1.85mm offset

 

You can customise offset on Miura giken. The max you could adjust your FP is 6. For example when I have ordered mine, I have asked for FP 6 which reduce the offset even further to 0.85mm

Depends what a 10 is. They certainly aren’t the softest, especially with these shafts. It’s the miura feel, firm but soft. My Kyoeis, epons, funimoto, yururis, mizunos definitely softer. But they are all shafted with Obans and KBS, and these shimadas are fairly stout comparatively. I happen to really like the miura feel.
