I got a good look at these today

The taylormade van was at my local golf shop today and the rep said he didn't have any r7 425's. I ribbed him a little and he went back to the van and pulled out a regular r7 425 and the r7 425 tp. He said all the TP's were 1 degree open but it looked pretty square to me. The regular r7 425 was only maybe a 1/2 degree closed. The were both very nice. (I ordered a 9.5 TP). He said they were coming out with the r7 460 in march but not a TP version. I don't really understand that but whatever. The 425 looks like the perfect driver for me. I haven't quite been able to get used to the 460 drivers. I can't wait.

How deep is the face?

I have seen and held a r7 425 driver just over the weekend too. This was a 0.350 retail version with "MWT" on the toe instead of the TP crest. Damn driver was at least 1* closed to my eye. The face height is slightly taller than a r7 shallow, it is shorter heel to toe compared to the r7 shallow, and the rest of bulk is actually towards the rear, but not by very much.

Highway robbery will be having to shell out a grand plus tax on one up here. I'm looking forward to getting a used r5 TP for cheap.
