I’m done with my 3 wood

Didn't find it stiffer with the 3wood shaft just the opposite ; I went from a regular shaft in my G400 to a stiff shaft +1/2" in G410, so the added length made it play somewhere between regular and stiff. The fitter put me in a stiffer shaft to reduce spin. I also dialed it down one degree so it is at 16.5 loft so in effect a 4 wood.

Thanks. Gotcha.... I was mis-registering when you said "went up in stiffness" that you of course meant you went up to a stiffer shaft profile.

Did that with an R15 3 wood and it was a 42.25" cannon with 2 weights

I have problems with fairway woods so I got a 2i hybrid that looks like a PT-15 and hit it about one club less than a 3 wood(225) and close to the same height. The shorter shaft and the top face line in line with the inside of the hosel give me confidence, in effect it looks like a 3 wood with the face slightly open but is about 2.5 -3" shorter.

My g25 3wood has been in the bag for 4 years!!! I think it’s the club I’ll never part with!! Don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it!! Probably gonna reshaft it with a Aldila rip phenom 70 tour X
