Have not played J33 combo, but tested DGSL R300 in my old set of MP33 that had DG R300 in it. SL feels very light and I had to add quite a bit of head weight to get it back to a decent swing weight.

Very similar trajectory to DG. Maybe just a tad higher due to the slightly higher speed (lighter total weight) I probly generate.

SL does not hit high like DG Lite or NS Pro, if that's what you worry.

Hope this helps.

cheers,

interesting that the DGSL required a lot of weight to get back... most reports say that the SL swingweight the same, as they were designed to do. are you sure you didn't pull out a lot of lead when you pulled the dg shafts (in the shaft tip), and that's why you needed a lot of lead with the new shafts?? mizuno USA is notorious for using a LOT of lead putty in all their heads... i had a friend that didn't know this and reshafted a couple broken shafts in his mizunos and didn't check for lead, didn't weigh the heads, and didn't swingweight (a novice at reshafting, but A for effort) - swingweight went from d2 to c6-7, same model shaft!

That is totally possible turbo. I have to check with my buddy who did the reshaft for me. And similar to your friend's, mine went from D2 to C8-9.

Out of pure curiosity though (i'm definitely a novice too on club fitting), isn't loss of swingweight expected when you lose that much weight(20g. or so) going from DG to DGSL??

loss of swingweight is expected if the distribution of weight in the shaft is the same - but many lighter weight shafts have more weight towards the tip to account for this. DGSL is one of those cases - my guess is that in order to keep the same trajectory and feel and swingweight as DG, TT designed the shaft with thicker walls towards the tip so they would be a direct replacement.

another example of the reverse - years ago i replaced a ys-6 in a driver with a pro 95 - 30 grams difference, but the swingweight barely changed. that's because the ys-6 is relatively tip heavy and the pro 95 is butt heavy.

hope that explains it...
