Do We Fade, More Than Draw As We Get Older?

I'm thinking it has to do with swing speed - if we have been hitting x or s shafts, as the swing slows, things go right in a hurry. I think it has to do with flex.

You could also say that, as you slow down the swing, hand action may not follow suit, and you can find yourself flipping the ball for a draw or hook.

 

The old "too stiff fades/slices and too soft draws/hooks" mantra doesn't work for everyone. The feel of the shaft in the swing can make golfers react differently.

Guess you been watching me "hit" balls recently .... I seem to be perfecting the flipping move quite nicely. I thought as I got older (slower) that timing and transition might get smoother - sadly not the case. I seem to have to work harder on transition now than in the past. Oh well, at least I'm still able to walk and play.
