Bettinardi HLX 3.0 Wedge - Long term users

For those who have been using this wedge since inception, could you please give your review? How does it feel especially compared to RTX4, Vokey SM7 or Mizuno T20? Does this club being forged make any difference in feel compared to RTX4 or SM7? Does it stick in the turf? Anyone using it with Modus Wedge 115 shaft? Thanks.

I only have a few rounds in with s400. Good wedge that feels excellent. They spin fine. It’s boutique and there are other wedges that do the same thing but may not feels as good. I was coming from glide forged for reference

I keep hearing @knudson81 talking about these wedges on his TG2 podcast. They sound like their good wedges and look really good too.

one of the best feeling wedges i have ever played and kicked out my rtx-4. Going through turf will just depend on what grind you get and if its right for you. Maybe the most surprising thing about them, is the durability. I was concerned with them being forged and so soft feeling that they would wear prematurely. I have logged 5 rounds on them now and hours of practice time and the milled micro grooves still feels as fresh as when i got them. My rtx-4s face had worn down smooth after a season of moderate play-(3/4 rounds a month). Hope it helps.

I have been playing these, in Black Smoke, for over a month and have been really impressed with them. Feel is very soft, to me softer than RTX4 and Jaws. The RJ grind has more bounce, a lot of heal and toe relief, a little wide sole than the C grind, and plays really well in all but the softest conditions. The 60* was the first lob that I have not bent to 62* in a couple years because it was that easy to open the face and hit consistent shots. Spin is really good, and really predictable, out of the rough and from perfect lies. I tend to get steep and play in soft conditions here in Michigan and the RJ is a really great option for these conditions. I think the C Grind would be great for sweepers or those who play on fast and firm courses. Finish has even held up really well!

I have the 50 C grind, 56 C grind bent to 55, and a 58 RJ grind bent to 59. I've probably got 15 rounds in with them and they still look brand new. The thing I like most about them is the sole. They have just a little bit of roundness at the heel and toe. The roll, bounce, and camber are just right... for me anyway. They go through the turf nicely and you can hit any kind of shot with them. Are they better than Vokey, Mizuno, Ping, Cleveland or Taylormade??? Not really, they're all really good wedges. But, they made them the way I like them and looking down on them they're just the right size. Wedges are a personal thing. Biggest problem is that it's hard to find a place to try them before you buy. I mostly bought them off of the review that Ian did on txg. They're a quality item. It's just depends on if they're right for you and it's a costly risk to find out.
