HELP: Slim and Lightweight Cart Bag for Pushcart

I'm looking for a cart bag for my pushcart that is lightweight and somewhat slim. It seems companies don't have this niche quite yet as most cart bags are heavy and just downright bulky! Right now the only bag I have found that fits the bill is the Callaway Org 7. I've searched online and haven't found anything similar. Turning to you guys to help me find a bag. Thank you

I've really liked the Nike Sport Lite bag, but showed a decent amount of wear over time. I'm currently using the Ping Mascot on a Clicgear and really like it.

I don’t want a bag with legs because it doesn’t fit well on my CaddyTek. That’s why I’m trying to find a slim cart bag.

That's a bit of a needle in a haystack as most cart bags are designed to carry a ton of stuff, not to be compact.

I have that bag and have mixed feelings. Not that lightweight in spite of title. Removing clubs is a big pain since the 14 way divider system is not full length and grips get tangled. That said it's a very nice looking bag with great pockets but I'd prefer something lighter with a 4 or 6 way top. My personal choice right now would be Sun Mountain 4.5 and you can get 2019 version on sale. I've also used Sync model in the past and that's a good option as well.

My issue is using a pushcart and it seems like Standbags do not fit properly/flush due to the legs.

isnt the 4.5 a stand bag? Sync is huge looking! I’ve heard great reviews about the sync bag on here

Because of the legs on the top section. Caddytek's website state it fits stand bags, but my Titleist players bag is clearly not the case I guess.

That’s too bad. I have used 3 stand bags on my cartA in the past year With no leg issues, only the foot mechanism.

 

could you fold up a towel and place it between the cart and the bag to make it work?

I just got the Wilson exo cart bag and really like it, not huge but fits my Clickgear just fine

4.5 is a stand bag but I know others that have used it successfully on a push cart. Fits fine on Bagboy quad cart and it would be by first choice if I had to replace the Titleist. Sync is not that big and is designed specifically for use on push carts. I've used previous versions and they work well altho not a fan of the apparel pockets.

See how that center block has to spaces on each side. The legs don’t sit well and there ends up being a gap. Not a huge issue but I’d prefer something to sit flush. Picture below is with my bag on it.

I have a Caddytek push cart and I started out with a SM C 130 cart bag. It was grossly large for it and I hated that it would not stand up on its own when it was loaded. I went back to my old Nike hybrid stand bag and while I have the same issue as you, I really haven't found it to be a problem. If I take my time loading it up, I dont even have an issue with the base.....it actually fits really well. I'm not necessarily worried about the weight of the bag since I am not carrying it, but I do like having options.

Slim and lightweight is hard tto find in a cart bag. If you shop in person, I suggest taking a handheld luggage scale with you. You may be surprised at the only slight differences in actual weight, vs the heft of the various bags when you pick them up.

One thing to be careful of is some cart bags (like most of the Sun Mountain ones I looked at recently) are designed for power carts, with the presumed setup with woods opposite the putter well - I don't like that even on a power cart- and usually are raised at that end. So wedges don't sit properly in those slots. If you put the woods in that spot then your irons will bash into the wood shafts on a pushcart.

I thought about this Ogio one, but went with the Ping Traverse, (6.1 lbs) that is a slightly smaller and slightly lighter than my other cart bag, Ping Pioneer that I think is the best designed and quality cart bag period. The Pioneer weighs 7.1 pounds but does feel a bit heavier picking it up, maybe just the bulk?
