Bandon During Covid

Has anyone been to Bandon in the last few weeks? How busy is it? We have a few tee times that I want to change, but am wondering if I will have more luck just before we arrive with last minute cancelations. Also curious about caddie experience with Covid protocols. Hoping it can be similar assuming the caddie is ok with it.

Any tips for a first timer are welcome too :)

Was down there in mid-July and I’d say that the lodging was busy but the courses felt pretty empty. I played a 3:50pm round at Pacific as a single and the nearest group to me went off at 3:20 with no one on the tee sheet behind me. Another day played a morning round at Trails and both of the first two tee times of the day were singles.

Caddie protocol was pretty close to normal. Caddies were carrying bags and pulling clubs. No rakes in bunkers or touching flags, but otherwise felt “normal”. Masks required inside and everyone was wearing them around the clubhouses, but they always came off on the first tee.

As for tips...play as much as you possibly can and change socks / shoes between each round. Enjoy!

The “change socks and shoes between rounds” tips is THE tip. Plan on it, then do it when you are there.

Played Pacific Dunes a couple weeks ago. Tee sheet was about 60% full. Other courses were a bit more crowded.

Was there 2 weeks ago. First time.

there is limited seating at restaurants! So show early, or have a reservation.

caddies will let you pull your clubs if you don’t want them handling them.

I'd encourage you to call and ask. If it doesn't work, call back a little bit closer to the date and try again. People may have cancelled

I booked my trip for the second week in September back in mid July. I’ve called them several times to change tee times and have had no trouble getting the times and courses I want. As for lodging, they are sold out. I’m having to do a room change in the middle of the trip.
