Myrtle in June or July 2021

Hi guys we are looking into a trip to Myrtle 2021.  I have a couple quick questions, when do they punch their greens down? I don’t want travel down there and play punched greens.  Also any can’t miss courses? We got a quote for Caledonia, true blue 2 times each, the. Pawleys plantation and heritage.  The quote we got was pretty cheap because Caledonia and true blue have a 4 round special.  My question is are they were 2 rounds each or should be play 2 other courses and if so which ones do we choose? All low single handicappers. Thanks guys and look forward to the response.

MB greens are aerated at different times during the summer.  They are never done all 
at the same time.   When your dates are set, investigate the dates. They may not know 
until around March/April.   
  
It sounds like you staying on the South end, so I will not mention Central to North 
courses.  If you stay central or north, you don't want to drive to the South end every day.  
  
Cal + TB are worth playing twice, unless you prefer more variety.    
Cal, TB, Heritage are the best on the South End.   
Pawleys, Willbrook, River Club are the next best. 
TPC is excellent and isn't far from that area, so keep it as an option.    
 
MB Golf rates are low in the summer.  Peak season is Spring + Fall.

You will run into punched greens that time of year depending on the courses. Cal and TB are the best on the sound end like mentioned above. I would put TPC right below that. Then on the second tier I would put Pawleys Plantation, Willbrook (just played), River Club, and Heritage. You just need to check out the aeration schedule when those are released.

Thank you for the advice on the punched greens.  We won’t be booking until later anyways just wanted to see what are the best options.

Caledonia and True Blue punch their greens the first two full weeks of June every year, one course a week, so in July you should be fine there.

I go all the time in June and July, yes some course will be punched but you will find courses that are not also. Just need to ask, if you book with a packager they can move you if a course punches without your notice, had that one year when i got to the beach, they called and moved me to a different course. 

All depends on your packager. Asking is the best way!!!

I agree with Art you picked some nice course but if you want a variety then look into others that are good also.
