Titleist T300 - love the distance, need more spin

Currently playing the T300 irons and really like the feel and distance, but need more spin in the mid to short irons.  Any suggestions?

Bend them weak. Loft is the most important. The other thing is ball - what are you using? Try Tour B XS.

Ball is the Maxfli Tour, but I've tested with 2020 Chromesoft and Snell MTB-X and the spin is staying pretty consistent with mid irons.

 

I was playing the Apex CF19's but wasn't getting the consistency that I get with the T300's, but I do miss the feel of the Apex.

Try the Mizuno Hot Metals. Either should help, or maybe a blended set.

From what I've read, the loft differences are 1 degree between the T200's and T300's.  Doesn't seem, by itself, that it would make much of a difference.

7 iron is less than 5000.

I've never hit T300 but trajectory AND spin have been exemplary with T200’s......unsure if T300 has same amount of Tungsten as T200 or if face construction is the same

Swing dynamics, ball, and loft will make a much bigger difference. Your 7 iron has less loft than my 6 iron. Off a mat, around 5k spin on a 6 iron is plenty at your speed. The key for you is hitting you clubs as high as possible to get a usable descent angle. You can’t expect a 29 degree 7 iron to spin at 7000 rpm nor do you want it to.

I agree with this.  Also, the flexible face is designed to have lower spin a d higher trajectory.

The balls you are playing are lower spinning. Try something that spins more, Bridgestone Tour B XS, Titleist Pro V1x, Mizuno RB X,

What's your speed? I thought the same .....mid 70s with 6i, low 90s high 80s with driver.....ALWAYS thought using softer balls would be better.....went back to higher launch AND higher spin of the 2019 prov1x and the results have been exhilarating to say the least......coupled with T200’s,  I'm hitting high irons that stop/spin on concrete. 

 

Not total comparison but many LPGA Tour members use the same and most barely swing any harder.

YOu cannot compare your 7 iron to that of a PGA tour player and look to have the same decent angles or spin rates.  Your iron may say 7 on the bottom, but chances are it is 6 degrees stronger maybe more than many of the PGA tour players.

 

The average PGA Tour player hits a 7 iron 172 yards, over 7k of spin and with a 50* descent angle.  What you do not know for sure is what loft is on their 7 iron.  However, an educated guess is that they are around 36* of loft.  The T300 7 iron is 29*, which is probably the same as their 5 iron.  Their 5 iron has 5300k of spin and comes in at close to the same descent angle.  If you SS with the iron isn't the same as theirs then compare it to the LPGA players, who on average are about 15 MPH slower the the PGA players. 

 

The T300 is designed with a high launch low spin mantra, that is after all how you take the same swing, and make the ball go further.  The T200 or even T100 may be more to your liking as far as spin numbers, but THEY WILL NOT BLEND EASILY.  You may have a 7 iron in both sets to get correct gappings.
