What sort of therapy has been of benefit?

In helping maintain or improve flexibility.

I only got marginal improvements from working out, assisted stretching, and pilates. Chrio is a good maintainer, but no real improvement.

A golf teacher recommended Active Release Therapy, which is Trigger Point Therapy combined with movement of the targeted limb. It was particularly effective in increasing the range of motion in the hips, which is key for golf. It is also quite effective on my hammy's, groin, glutes, which have made my back feel better than it has in decades. It's reduced the visits to the chiro from every other week to every third month.

Have any of you had any effective treatments that improved your condition?

I'd used that one myself, but the trouble is, I'll see more than one golf ball after a few. Could not make up my mind which one to hit, they just kept turning on me.

therapy can assist in getting your range of motion/flexibility....but a steady flexibility routine and or something like yoga/pilates/etc. will do more to help maintain it.

I think we realize that, but for us seniors sometimes we've done things to our bodies that need attention, or will continue to get worse year after year.

Can we mix that fish oil with Jack D? Would that be ok? A guy'd need something to get rid of the bad taste of that fish oil somehow.

I can't remember the name of the machine I worked out with in the summer. They promote it on a few TPI work outs with Randy Myers. It is a machine that vibrates intensely. You do exercises and stretches on the machine and I guarantee you, you will be amazed at the results. I'll try to get the name of the machine and post it back here.
