Implementing Training Aid Swing into Real Swing

So I've been working on getting my hands more in on my backswing and getting less steep on the downswing. I've made good progress on my backswing, but my downswing still looks like this with a full swing with very steep shoulders and shaft:

And this is what impact looks like, albeit with the use of the alignment stick and swinging at like 20%

 

Now obviously the 2nd picture is where I'd like to be, my question is what's the best method people here have had in transitioning from a swing guided by an aid to your normal swing? Do I take one swing with the aid, one without, and repeat for months? Swing without the aid at 50%, video it, and keep doing that till the pictures above match?  

 

I've always had issues in the past making legitimate changes to my swing, so I'm trying to figure out the best practice routine to make this permanent, how long it'll take, and any tips people have had making a large change like this in their backswing.

Holy line out a plan Batman!!!  This is EXACTLY what I needed.  GLK you are the Man!!!   I can't wait to get to the range. 

 

I would do a modified version of this but not nearly as comprehensive.  Hit 3 balls with training device, review video.  Hit 3 balls without, review video.  I've definitely made changes this way.

 

I wish I had seen this 6 weeks ago.
