I used an armlock, but the grip wasn't thick enough--so is the thickness unlimited and I could make my own thick grip?  And with wedge grip length--they make 1" over standard--but could it be 3 or 5" over?

USGA Equipment Rule Interpretation 3b.(iii) says the cross-sectional dimension of the grip in any direction, tapered or not, must not exceed 1.75 inches. So that would mean when it is on the club, which would account for the thickness limitation.  

 

The other important words I think are no "bulge or waist" in the grip. 

 

I'm not aware of any limitation on the length of a grip, but it must be at least 7 inches and of course extending to the end of the shaft.  You could have a much longer grip, but not sure why you would. 

 

The two-grip separation rule on putters -- I'm guessing that isn't what you were thinking about?
