TM 2008 TP Forged

I was bored today and had every intention of redoing the paintfill in my TP's to match the TM TP logo, you know black "T" and red "P". After removing the paint I think I am going to leave them this way. Hope my crappy picture taking does this justice!

anyone know how long to get these from tOURSPEC. I ordered them now I cant wait I know all things good come to those who wait but just wondering how long

Just opening a set as I type. The Look is awesome, min. offset and a good size cavity. I think that these irons well be very forgiving. My contact at TM told me the reason they are not out on the Tour is that the final version is just being finnished after some Proto Testing. The TP paint fill is red and yellow. Not cheap for the head's only. I was told I can't psot any pic's of these, PM my if you want to see them.

I have had these in the bag since mid January. Whilst they are stunning to look at, and incredibly soft to hit, I had a few issues in terms of performance. Specifically with the distance dispersion across the irons. Being somewhat pedantic, I took the 3, 6 and PW to a range with a flightscope. The results were quite enlightening - with very similar swing specs per iron, the distance variation was pretty poor:-

 

3 iron - 17 metres (197m to 214m) (At altitude)

6 iron 14 metres (167m to 181m)

PW - 11 meteres (111m to 122m)

 

My set are currently fitted with Nippon NSPRO 950 stiff shafts. To give the clubheads the benefit of the doubt, I;ve sent them away to be reshafted with Project X 5.5's. On there return I wil retest them to see if the change in shaft improves their distance dispersion.

 

In the meantime I have put a set of AP2's in the bag - and they are a lot tighter in terms of distance control (I also checked these on the flightscope).
