Feels like Chrome Soft X but cheaper price point?

Perhaps and oddly specific question. Does anyone have a recommendation for a ball that feels like a Chrome Soft X, especially off the putter, but hits a lower price point? I realize I'd like sacrifice other qualities to save some money. 

 

I can put together several (usually 9 hole) rounds in a row without losing a ball. But being a mid handicap, I can also have a round where I loose half a dozen. I've been between CSX and Z-Star XV and really like the performance of both balls but man does  it sting to loose them. What is a good compromise? Especially something I can pick up in a store to try quickly. But open to DTC options.

Look into the MTB-X.  It's what I play and it's just as good as any tour ball out there IMO.  I alternate between it and the CSX LS.

Snell has a sample box you can order with 6 X and 6 black to help decide which is best for you.

For putting…Chrome Soft X is a urethane cover. I think the cover is the biggest factor to feel in putting, material and thickness.

 

if you are looking for a cheaper urethane ball…it’s Snell or Vice, or the KSig ball.  Those are likely the best match. Maybe the Titleist Tour Speed, I think that’s urethane too.

 

Those options don’t address performance from any other clubs though, so you might have to compromise on putter feel to get a cheaper ball that performs.  You could also switch to a softer putter maybe.

I can say for sure the Ksig balls feel very soft off the putter, but versions 1 and 2 were both woefully short across the board in terms of distance.

Thanks I may give this a go too since it seems it can be had for the same price as the snell mentioned above. I have tried the Tour before but not the X. My putter has a pretty soft insert which I don't mind but I am finding I do like a firmer ball off of it for increased feedback.

I have s pretty soft putter. I found the CS X to feel just a bit firmer off it than say a proV1 or the Z star XV i've been playing and like that feel but want something a bit cheaper. Willing to sacrifice some other aspects of performance to save a little cash at the movement.

I tried the most recent version. It was definitely soft off the putter. I didn't mind the ball too much. It was shorter off of long clubs. As a midcap thou my ball striking skills (lack there of) was a bigger determining factor of distance. My biggest issue with it was that the cover just wasn't very durable.

I have been playing the Ksig 3.2 and I haven't noticed any distance loss.  Love the ball.

Driver: about 95 sometimes more, sometimes less depending on how these mid 50's bones feel
