Titleist Trial Bags????

I see a lot of Titleist stand bags for sale that have Trial Bag embroidered on the ball pocket.  Anyone know what these are?  Seem to be had pretty reasonable.  Temped to get one and take that stitching out. Maybe get something embroidered over of the pocket is removable.

I would guess they are for trial or demo clubs by a rep or fitter

That's what I was thinking.  Shocked to see how many are for sale.  Seems like exact same as other Titleist bags.  Not sure how much cheaper they go for.  I don't like the idea of have trial bag on it, but if they go for a good bit cheaper I might be able to work with it.  My last bag last almost 2 seasons.  I'm hard on them, so cant justify paying top dollar for a bag.

courses that order titleist for the rental/demo clubs come with those bags. I think that re-sellers are able to buy "new" ones (ie ones that never made their way to accounts) in bulk on the cheap hence why they sell less than normal.

That makes sense.  Could be a good deal.  2nd Swing seems to have a lot of them.

yeah i bought (what i thought was and was advertised as) a different titleist bag from them, and received one instead.

I bought one off 2nd swing.

The Titleist 14 hybrid stand bag

 

it looks great

zippers seem fine

functional pockets 

removable strap system is nice

legs are sturdy and fold out nice

sits well on a cart……. but

 

Holy Club tangle….. awful! 
 

I can’t compare it to a standard hybrid 14, but I can’t see how anyone could possibly like these bags. I figured it was well received, how I don’t know 

 

I hate it, and have contemplated going back to my 2006 Ogio Ozone. 
 

not only do you get terrible club tangle (I play MCC +4 standard grips) but your wedges ride up when you have the legs out so they sit higher than the other clubs.

 

If I were to purchase another bag, I’d just go with a Sun Mountain 4.5 or C130s . For a cheaper option I’d go to Costco and get a Big Max, or look for a used Ogio Silencer. 

 

I’ve come to the point where I want to cut the dividers out and put in a Caddy Rack club organizer 

 

ive never owned a 14 way bag before, so I’m not sure club tangle is a thing with these bags, but it’s terrible. 
 

I wanted the Titleist hybrid 14 because I read it had less club tangle than the Ping Hoofer 14. I don’t know how you could possibly have worse club tangle. I have to finesse every iron out of the bag and sneak it back in wiggling it down till it hits bottom, especially the wedges.

Good info.  I like a 14 in a cart bag, but doesn't seem to work for a stand bag.  Nice to find a deal, but not when you regret it shortly after.  SM makes a nice carry bag for sure.

The Trial Bags are not the same as the bags that went to retail. 
 

They Titleist hybrid 14 is a great bag, the trial bags look the part on the outside, but inside they are far different. 
 

The trial bags do not have the dividers that go all (or most of the way) down, as a matter of fact, they only have a few separating areas. I went to Dicks sporting goods with my Trial bag, and noticed the difference immediately when I looked inside the retail version. 
 

The trial bag is horrible and I’m going back to my 07’ Ogio Ozone for now. I may get a Titleist Hybrid 14, Ping, or SM…… the trial bags are just for display and not function!

2nd Swing had them for $120 and I had $80 credit so I took a chance.  I could tell it wasn't totally the same.  I'll see how it tastes me but for $40 I figured I wasn't out much.
