Simple to track winter sim league scoring ideas?

just picked up a skytrak on ebay with the intent of starting a winter sim league for my friend group. 

 

basic idea is small group of friends and 1 round each month nov-march. 5 rounds total. cant get too big as each person will need to schedule their time to play with at least one other person at my place. 

 

Honestly have no idea what scoring will work and won't. want something easy to track and have no problem doing it on excel. looked at a few threads and found several websites but they all have a user fee. want to see what you guys recommend for scoring and ways to track each month? not interested in any program that has fees as it seems like wasted money for a small friend league. 

 

we will be running TGC or TGC 2019. i will not have any experience with this until the skytrak shows up in the mail.

Stroke play (net or gross??), points for 1st through last, similar to the fedex cup. Could be as simple as, if you have 8 players, first place wins 8, 2nd win 7, 3rd wins 6th, etc.

 

Accumulate the points for the season. Maybe have the last round worth double points.

i feel dumb, was totally over thinking this. we all have handicaps and can do net stroke play. easy enough. i like the double point round. was already thinking of having a "masters" week worth more points.

If it's just a few people playing 5 rounds total I wouldn't think you'd need anything more than a points system and a piece of paper. 

 

Trying to integrate a scoring system software would just complicate things and probably end up being more work for whoever keeps up with it.
