Mizuno wait time?

So after ordering back in Feb with Mizuno (through my local retailer), then cancelling that and ordering a custom built set from a builder in early May, I finally collected them today! They're stunning! My yardage gaps are perfect and has fixed the issue I had with the 4/5/6 iron gaps!

Got fitted for 223's, called Mizuno, they are saying 6-8 weeks for customs orders and that they are waiting on heads for new orders. 🤨

Ordered Mizuno 225s with Project X 6.0 and Lamkin grips on 5/12.  Got them in today through a local fitter.  10 weeks to the day.

Just called Mizuno and they said there are no component issues with this order (so I guess 223 heads are back in stock) and it would be going out on 7/27 or 7/28. That would put this order right around 9 weeks. Hope that helps any of you playing the waiting game as well. Hit em good, Mizuno tribe!!

That’s awesome news….  I ordered 223 7-G and 225 4-6 with project x ls 6.5 shafts on 6/6!  7 weeks and counting, hopefully getting close!

My 223s just turned up from Mizuno.  Originally ordered 225s in early May and then had them switch the order to 223s.  In the interim I got myself a pre-owned set so now I have 2 sets.  Not a problem, love these clubs and nice to have a backup!

 

edit: Forgot to mention my son (who was in the new T100) tried my 223s and within about 10 shots decided he much preferred theMizunos.  He is now in 4-pW 223 with x100 and sorting out a 225 3 iron for him,

Anyone else notice out of the ordinary quality control? I just picked up a retail set of 223's with Modus 115 S (I'm always standard and love the modus 115.) Great clubs and they are doing exactly what I need on the course but noticed the Modus screen printing isn't exactly centered down the shaft. they seem to be a bit all over the place. I know it's just cosmetic but Mizuno has historically been pretty good about build quality.

Which 921s did you get. I ordered 921 forged with modus 105s 6/2 and mine shipped yesterday

I got fit for the 921 hotmetals (lefty) with modus 120x shafts, stock grips. I'm guessing the shafts are the hold up

Well all this talk about wait time is kinda disappointing for sure as I ordered 7/4 223s modus 105r 5-PW.

At time of fitting they said 4 to 8 but they looked in their system and said mite ship end of July. The more I read the less I think that’s gonna happen lol

I was quite pleased when the builder quoted 8 weeks in May, given I'd already waited 2.5 months and all I kept getting from the original Mizuno order was they're delayed again, just before I cancelled the latest update was delivery some point in July but I had no confidence in it. Completely appreciated it was out of their control as it was the KBS $ Tapers that were the issue but the lack of communication was awful and the fact they would give me a date and it would just keep slipping, I'd have rather them say no date until they have a final date. Mizuno did also originally inform my retailer that they had a set of the shafts in stock (in black), then said they had chrome in stock and not black which a couple of weeks later changed to they no longer had the 8-pw shafts or something like that.

 

As soon as I found a builder that had Tour-V's (which I already use) it was a no brainer for me.

My 223s came in exactly 12 weeks to the day. Long wait but they look and feel amazing. Best of luck to everyone in this forum.

My 5/24 order just arrived 2 days ago.  225's  projectx LS 6.0.  Was a long wait, but we'll worth it!   Range session and a round and a half on em.  So far, they are absolutely spot on!   Coming from some 7 year old JPX ez, I am finding these are much more consistent.

Just a heads up.  Reached out to Mizuno to see if they had the components (shaft) of my build.  Project x 6.0.   I was told from Mizuno USA that they aren’t expecting that shaft back in stock until the end of this year and/or beginning of next year.  They added that true temper told them it would be a while and they apologized for the inconvenience.  Bummer, because the 223 with that shaft is what I was fit for.  Called titleist, they said they have that shaft and quoted 4 weeks (doubtful they would meet that deadline).  Saw above one poster just got the 223 with px 6.0, so something has changed.  Anyway, just thought I’d add that to this forum.

I received my order from Mizuno yesterday 8/1, 8 weeks to the day (6/6) that the order was submitted by my fitter.

 

- JPX921HM, RH 5-GW, 2 degrees upright

- Modus Tour 105S shafts, +1/2"

- Golf Pride MCC +4 Midsize grips

 

All clubs were checked by my fitter upon arrival and everything is a-ok...headed for the range this morning as I am traveling for the remainder of the week.
