Heading up to Scottish Open the week before. Great field and better for spectating. Renaissance is a mediocre track but tickets are easy to acquire.

I applied in the lottery and won 4 tickets to all four days of The Open. So 3 friends and I are heading to Edinburgh the week of The Open. We're staying right in St. Andrews for the days of The Open at an Airbnb....not cheap but bucket list item for sure. We can walk to the Old Course everyday and won't have to worry about transportation. I've always wanted to visit Scotland so should be a great trip doing some touring around Edinburgh and then going to The Open on Thursday. Would be great if Tiger was well enough to attend and maybe even compete. We wanted to purchase Hospitality tickets but all were sold out by the time we committed to the trip. The Mastercard event was available and sounds great but unfortunately the cost was too much for the group. 6 weeks and counting.....

Was in St Andrews on Saturday - was playing the jubilee and saw a bit of the St Rule trophy going on the New course.

The amount of infrastructure being put in is massive - definately seems another level than previous years - what was single level buildings before are now 2 to 3 levels.

Was a rumour that there would be less stands than normal so they can focus on corporate.....

Medicore - (def) of only average quality, not very good - whilst it doesn't touch the best courses in Scotland, to describe it as mediocre is extremely harsh. It's never played particularly difficult at the Scottish Open's it has held the week before the big one, but it is most definitely above average in terms of quality and with the space available, it is a no brainer for hosting big events.
