Just like a T grind, looks amazing

This is the grind that Sergio has been using on his MG3's since the beginning of 2022. Looking at his bag at The Open, he has gone back to his Vokey T Grind.

I’m having a hard time figuring out where his wedge has been ground at. I see milling but no grind work on the sole.

Maybe "custom milled" would have been better wording, because I think TM's whole story with the milling is that it allows them to reproduce any sole shape accurately. This may have been a re-creation of something that he did have ground previously.

To bad Taylor made won’t sell a full raw wedge. Just the raw face is ridiculous looks terrible

Worth remembering that is an all in price, configured with whatever options they have available on the MyMG3 site; e.g., shaft, grip, personalization, and paint fill. If you play just a stock retail setup, yeah, the price is a bit steep. But if someone is buying raw wedges through a personalization program, my guess is that person is likely going to be changing specs from retail.

 

I play Tour Issue S400 and MCC white/black grips in my wedges. If I configure a retail MG3 with those specs through the TM custom shop, that's a $38 upcharge for shaft (+$28) and grip (+$10), for a total of $218.49. The raw MyMG3 wedge would only cost $11.50 more at $229.99. Pretty fair deal at that point, to be honest.

 

The biggest issue with the raw offerings is that they only have select grinds available.

I am aware that everything is included. For someone who just wants the wedge raw, like myself, it’s annoying that there is such an upmark for it.
