PING G425 Driver Face

Does anybody else notice these marks, almost look like subtle cracks in the face of their G425 drivers. I noticed a slight drop in ball speeds and a more noticeable drop in spin after I actually found the middle of the face. There a few across the face which seems a little odd

If you can wait until the G430 release, they will send you the equivalent G430 model to replace your G425. I cracked the face on my G410 3 Wood and they sent me a brand new G425 Max 3 wood to replace mine.

My experience was a bit different. I cracked my 410 face last fall (2021). I thought for sure I would get a 425 head as the 410 came out in 2019. Ping sent another 410. I was actually impressed they had new old stock from 2 years ago.

Mine was January 2022, that might be why.

That face is fine. My ping driver has similar marks it's just a dark spot of the brushed face. Yours even has it in other places randomly across the face. Look high on the toe and low on the toe. See 2 identical looking areas.

That’s kind of what I thought too, played 18 today and spin was ridiculously low compared to what it was a week ago. The fact that 5 wood was going further than driver made me question it

Be honest.  You just wanted us to see the ball mark 😀

I had no witnesses so GolfWRX was the next place to go lol. But in all seriousness the flight I was getting off of center hits was why I posted. Not super pumped to go through multiple drivers this season

I mean I'm not saying something isn't going on with it, but I don't think what you pointed out is the issue. Did you switch balls recently? Changed settings on the adapter? Swing changes? There have been times where I have hit woods further than my driver in the past. Driver has its own swing. Maybe a driver swing slump? Just some ideas.

The only driver I've ever cracked was a TM and it showed up where the face met the sole (more towards the sole). But it was SO obvious it had happened. The sound changed drastically.

I've got a mark or 2 like that on my sim max, I think its just minor inconsistencies in the face grinding, little deeper grind in those spots. You can run the head under hot water tho and it will cause the air inside the head to expand, then keep the water trickling over the face and check for any bubbling that would indicate a crack.

I don't know about Ping but I've had Cobra replace two different driver heads for me that were purchased used but still under the warranty period.

None of the above, playing to a +1 right now and some of the most consistent golf of my life. This will be the 5th driver I’ve cracked/caved in 3 years which is not ideal lol
