Arccos vs Garmin S62

Been trying to decide which is the better route to Go. I do want Distance tracking but not sure if I went with Garmin I would get the sensors. I do have a rangefinder that I use so not sure how that would incorporate into either of these or if id even need a RF with these. Which would be the better route to go? One thing about arccos is the subscription just not so sure if it would be worth it.

Garmin watches can track distances with or without the sensors. The sensors just let the watch know which club you hit. If you don't mind entering the "which club" information in the Garmin Golf app you don't necessarily need the sensors.

I use the sensors and generally there are only a couple of edits I have to make after each round to ensure accurate information.

Have only used the Garmin but absolutely love it. Quick and easy distances and plus can keep score!

I’ve been using the Garmin sensors with my S62 but I’m going to try out Arccos. I hope the Arccos data is better than what Garmin offers. I find the Garmin info not too helpful.

I stopped my arccos before my trial was even up. No way arccos is worth 155 bucks a Month!! It has good data but there's better things out there just as good for a Fixed price without a subscription. IMO arccos is a rip off!

I played my first round in 6 years with Arccos (and Arccos saved those rounds in the account I created). The data from my round was insane. It’s so eye opening. You can get even more info on your round(s) on their website. It’s really good. The Garmin data is not even close.

My only issue is that if you carry your bag and you dont have a stand on your bag, the system added a few driver shots around some of the greens when I threw my bag down on the ground.

Is it worth $100-ish per year for the data? If you want to get better, I’d say yes. I think letting your instructor see the data would be beneficial to you as well so he can actually see how what areas you really need to work with.

Gonna play a few more rounds with the Arccos before I decide the fate of my S62 but things look promising for Arccos.

It’s $155 for a year, not a month.

That's what I meant a year not month. But it's not even worth that for a year

Why do you say that? At 12.99/month I can think of a lot of other nonsense subscriptions I have that are the same or more.

I think value is in the eye of the beholder. For me, Arccos is definitely worth it. I have dozens of sensors at this point.

Costs less than one round a month, and does so so much. And if you got them with a Ping club, you didnt even pay for the sensors with their Arccos completion package.

Not to belabor the point, but their customer service and tech support, imho, is excellent. I’ve had technical issues cleared in minutes, dead sensors replaced in two days, and I had my home course’s winter layout modified in a day and added to the database for winter tees, and any question I have is replied to very swiftly.
