Titleist 620 CB thoughts

I’m in the market for new irons. I love the look of the 620 CBs and hit them today and was blown away work they feel. I was going to wait until the 923 Tour come out, but was curious what people here thought of them. I know they aren’t super popular.

Great irons and lots of better players/tour players use them. The T100 is a bit more forgiving but they’re nicer through the turf and feel better.

I was a long-time Titleist CB player.  They are great clubs - the only "issues" with them are that they aren't much more forgiving than the MB version, and they tend not to feel as good as competing forged cavity back irons.  They're a niche product now - really good players will opt for the MB, most others will go for the T100 which are more forgiving, and players who want a forged CB will go for a competing product.

I had the T100 and liked them a lot, but the CBs feel a hell of a lot better. Hard to deny the 923 Tours as I’m sure they are going to be awesome.

Sneaky good irons that are just caught in the middle of blades and and a very popular player’s cb.  They are always my favorite Titleist irons in their line up.

Super underrated. I appreciate how similar they are to the MB for blendability. Gives you just that tiny little uptick in forgiveness wherever you decide to transition.

i hit the demo 7i head when i went to hit AMT Tour White shafts, and i was blown away by the feel of it, im not a Titleist clubs guy but to me they felt a smidge better than Apex TCB & i love me some Callaway gear, really genuinely impressed with the 620CB.

Great turf interaction and solid feel/sound. Not the softest forged cavities I've ever felt, but they're nice.

 

Just my subjective opinion, but I'm not a huge fan of the look. I've always preferred the traditional, simple designs of the 714s and earlier.

I played them for 2 years and they're great irons, but definitely lack in forgiveness compared to the T100's imo. I've noticed since switching to the T100's my bottom groove strikes fly 5 or so yards longer. That being said they were some of my favorite irons I've ever used and I still keep my old set just in case for some reason I want to switch back from the T100's

Love mine. Agree with the comment about them not being much more forgiving than the MBs, but still noticable. I play MB P-7 and CB 6-4. Great feel as long irons, nice mid-height and has a nice "fast" feel off the face, hotter than the MBs.

 

I'm entering my third season with the irons. I've changed drivers, woods, wedges, putters... the iron's stay firmly in the bag.

Tested them against the T100 quite a bit and I prefer the 620 CB. The CB felt way better and forgiveness was close to the T100. Underrated/overlooked irons for sure.

I used the 716cb's for a long time and loved them. When I tested the 620's they were just as good. 

 

With the T100's being so popular on tour, they seem to have been slightly forgotten.

Appreciate the feedback. It’s going to come down to these or the 923T. Tough call, I can get a custom set of the 620 for $1000…
