The GT line, but nobody knows yet why they're better than the TSRs.  Titleist isn't talking and they are still being tested out on the Tour, maybe released to us peons in September.

... Absolutely no information at all and for $880 I wanna know everything. Korean Hidden Technology is useless unless I know what it is. The faster you swing the more the shaft stiffens. Due to the unique construction and high end materials not found in any other shaft, the Dream 7 will perform like no other shaft by combining a soft flex with a stiff tip that plays much, much firmer than it feels."

Titleist has been pretty famous for years for being a bit vague and obscure when it comes to describing their clubs and balls.  Thinking they have more attorneys than other companies.  "Do NOT put any promises in writing".  Fine clubs and balls, though.

... I guess after going to the PGA Show for so many years and talking to VP's of engineering, it is rare to have something proprietary that others don't know about. They take apart all the competitors products, study and learn from them. They openly talked bout their technology and why it produced a better product. I guess todays attention span isn't interested in the deep dive into any product but some of us always want to know the how. How did TaylorMade produce a longer, softer TP5x and how is it different than last years TP5x? I would never have switched to this years TP5x without a couple trial packs given to me. But even though I didn't believe the hype, it is indeed longer and softer feeling than the last generation.

... At least Graphite Design tells me what makes their shaft perform so well. I know nano tubes are much stiffer than graphite and  "TORAYCA ® T1100G carbon-fiber pre-preg" tells me what kind of graphite they use.

Yes you did - congrats! My Stars fell 6 wins short of the Stanley Cup for the 2nd straight year. I thought they played their best game of the Edmonton series last night - 35 to 10 SOG - and still lost. Skinner came into the series as an expected liability and he became a wall.

 

I’m mostly disappointed for guys like Pavelski and Benn. Pavelski will probably retire this summer and Benn can’t be far behind. It was a great season and I truly thought this Stars team was going all the way. Of all the years I’ve pulled for the Stars, this was my favorite team. Congrats to Oilers. I had no idea they could play defense so well. 

 

Guess I’ll turn my attention to the Mavs, even though I’m not a big NBA fan.

@Triple Lindy  Sorry your boys lost but it was fantastic series to watch.  35-10 SOG advantage doesn't lose many games but unfortunately for the Stars this time it did.

Woodfin Ridge is a very nice property. I fall hard for at least a dozen homes every time I play the course. All the yards are professionally kept up. I so like that look.

I need a backyard like the one in the third photo.

Golf course living like this works for me. 

Stan says he would take a pass as the homes are all too close to one another.

I had a wonderful time down in SC yesterday playing a great course. It was fun to have Mike and Rick in our group. I don't get to play with those guys enough. All was dandy except one thing, I forgot to bring a golf game. I struggled on the bogey train all day and in the end I tied my highest score of the year. Yikes it got bad. 

 

I hope to erase yesterday's performance from my memory today. Late this morning I have a game at BFCC with a solid group of players. Two assistant Pro's and one of the best players on the Turf Crew will make up our foursome. I expect to finish DFL but who knows ? Maybe I will have a turn around day and find a way in the end to snag the Bronze medal.

Sorry for the late updates but our Sundays are a full day event and I was too tired to post and yesterday was full of packing, playing, luggage Tetris for the ride back to the airport, getting home late, and too tired again.

 

So, Sunday we were at Conestoga Golf Club.  The facility is very nice with a grass driving range and practice area, though when you've already played 2 days in near-105F temps, I think I took 10 swings and decided that was good enough.  Overall, the course was in good condition.  The edges of the fairways were a little brown, but definitely okay to hit from and the greens must've been sanded somewhat recently, though they still ran very true.

 

Our group started on #18 and after pulling my tee shot into the desert which I was lucky to find and in a playable spot, I still botched it for a double, but rattled off 3 straight pars.  A bad chip on #4 led to a bogey and then came the par-3 5th hole which was downhill with a carry.  See that wall of boulders before the green?  Well, I fatted my iron and it went into what I guess is a flash flood area - not really a creek bed as it was reddish dirt - in front of the boulder wall which is about 15 feet high.  I had to play backwards to give me some space, thinned my 3rd shot into the wall and it bounced back into softer dirt from where I successfully flopped it onto the green, but then 3 putted for a 7.

 

 

I managed a sandy birdie on the par-5 9th after starting with about a 175-yd worm burner off the tee.  I hit 5h from there into a fairway bunker and managed to cleanly pick an 8i onto the right side of the green with the pin over on the left at least 60 feet away with a slight ridge in between.  I got so lucky as my putt smacked the pin dead-center and dropped in.  If I hadn't left the pin in, it would've easy gone by 15+ feet.  Outside of a par on #10, everything went all to heck after that.  I finished with an 88 (41/47).

 

One thing about the course - I'd never seen so many ants.  Regular size ones and also big ones - both red and black.  If you are easily distracted by movement when you're standing over the balls, particularly on tee boxes or the greens, you may go crazy.  Haha.
