Scotty Cameron Jet Set paint fill

I want to change the color of the top line on the Jet Set Newport from gray to white. I've done paint fill mods before but I don't have any experience with the black finish on the Jet Set. Any idea if Citristrip will mess with the black finish? Any other recommendations?

Also, any tips on applying paint to the top sight line? I've only done lettering before where whatever I'm painting is fully enclosed. The sight line runs off to the face and to the back. I know not to get heavy handed with the paint and am thinking of using painter's tape on the face and back to contain the paint to just the sightline. Does this sound logical? Would you do anything differently?

Honestly I wouldn't worry about removing the grey. just tape the face and cavity like you said and dab a toothpick in the paint and dab it until it's covered white.

Agree with this. If just going from grey to white then no need to remove what's already there and risk damage to the finsh.

Put a tiny bit of tape on each side and use a toothpick or needle dropper to drop in some white paint. Honestly, you might not even need the tape if you're just doing enough white to cover the grey.

Toothbrush with thinner on it for the top line... way faster and less work.

Just paint fill it like normal ... nothing special about filling that cavity line. I fill with a Toothpick and wipe the top of the putter with a rag soaked in thinner until I'm happy with the coverage
