Ping G430 Hybrids

Wanted to start its own post here on this specific club. I just picked up my 17 and 22 degree. Definitely a little lower launch than expected. I found lofting up a degree and putting it at the flat lie angle made them come to life. Really nice forgiving ball flight that didn’t go left.

Well you do have low launch shafts in them.  I have a 22 with RDX Red on order.

I love the stability of the shaft. Definitely lower than their cb shaft. I can’t hit a hazardous shaft consistently to save my life.

I have the 19. Will try out flat setting when ranges open up. Went with Alta CB S. Did not like the Red RDX.

Ping has a solid collection of hybrid shafts that should fit most people.

I originally went with the 22* and it went too far for my gapping. Bought the 26* and cranked it down to 24.5* and it fits perfectly between my 20* 7 wood and 26* 5 iron.

Never hit the 425. I played callaway hybrids for years but didn’t like the new version and mine were worn out.

That's kinda' the idea with that shaft. 

 

I'm happy a simple loft & lie change is getting them rocking for you.

I went the exact opposite 

 

Started in the flat setting - as I play orange dot in irons > just recently changed to the big - and the difference is night and day.

OP here, got on trackman this morning and we looked at spin and launch numbers.  The 17 degree with Kaili White was too low spin and thus the low hooks (even when lofted to 18).  The 22 degree (lofted to 23 and set flat) was so solid.  Great combination without having to hit the high spinner as typical in higher lofted hybrids.  One of the two worked out.  I did happen find another club that worked while in there.  I had to go a different route.
