Ventus TR Red in fairways?

Interesting, I will report back once I test it out. My club guy said it should be perfect...

Was building a custom 5 wood on carls golf land (430 max) and noticed one of the options was a Ventus TR Red 9X. Anyone have any info/specs on this one?

I have a TR Red 6s in 3w and original red 7s in 7w, they are both great.

Red TR 7S in TSR2 3W & 5W and by far best fairway shafts for my swing.  Didn't get along with Blue TR in 3W, couldn't get strike up where needed (too thin), but Red TR's in those heads are incredible for me, both off the deck and tee

 

Currently play Blue TR 6s in driver and testing Red TR 6s as well and although early, looks promising to switch.

I am about to do the very similar (TR Red 6X in 3w and Red 7S in 7w), but am not sure about tipping. How did you trim yours?

I did not like the TR Red in my g430 5w. Ball would balloon way too high. Switched to the Blue and it is perfect. The TR Red in the g430LST driver was really good, however.

No tipping on 3 wood, 3/4 inch on 7 wood (as I am playing more like a 6 wood).

Red w/ velocore w/ or w/o TR is the perfect fairway shaft for me. Fairways had always been a weak part of my game before giving the red velocore a try. Now I feel like I'm money with them

I had the TR red 7X in my 3 wood for a while. Was nice and easy to launch and plenty stable. But I match up with the blue and the black profile better from a timing perspective so I couldn’t get used to the red.

Wanted to tag onto this post with my question instead of posting a new one. Got fit yesterday for a 4 wood, tsr3 16.5 with the OG blue 7X showing best numbers. (He did not have red to test). Said my height and approach angle were perfect. This confused me because I’m typically a low ball hitter and felt my 4 wood approaches have come in on the hit side typically.

 

my question is this; were my launch height numbers masked by hitting off the turf indoors? Hit all shots off the deck which is what I’m mostly using this club for.

 

My gut tells me a TR red in 7X would be perfect. SS with the 4 wood was around 95 consistently. Spin was fine, no issue there. For what it’s worth, I play a OG blue 6S in my tsi3 10 degree and it’s perfect.

 

So, those that know, should I go OG blue 7X or Red TR 7X for this 4 wood? Will the red play and feel too differently than the blue?

Hello guys, have tested the TR Red 7X untipped in 3 wood but it feels not as stable to me as my TR Red 6X 0,5" tipped in driver. Maybe should i try tipping 7X for 3 wood a bit for a little more stability.

 

How have you guys tipped yours TR red shafts in 3 wood?

People generally tip their 3 wood .5” more than whatever their driver is tipped. So that would mean tipping 1” for a 3 wood shaft if you tipped your driver .5”.
