Does anyone setup with ball inside eyeline?

I know every single youtube fitting video says the ball should be on the eyeline or just outside but I feel the only way I can align properly is having the ball inside my sight line. I've done tests a la Mike Malaska where I am moving my head to see a straight line while lining up on a small dot a foot or two away from me and in-between myself and the hole. I have also made a makeshift edel laser fitting system and got the same result.

I'm curious if I should continue to putt this way or if there is anything I can do via setup/putter/alignment aids/loft/lie/etc. that can get my eyes on the line or just outside like everyone says it should be done. Thoughts?

Do you hit the line you want to hit when set up like this?

Do you feel comfortable when set up like this?

Are you able to perform a solid stroke without issues?

If you say yes to these then continue what you're doing. Putting is super personal and if you're sinking putts who cares how you setup.

Do you putt well that way?

If you want to try changing it, cheap and easy way is to use an old CD ('member those?) as a putting aid. Put the shiny side up, place your ball in the middle, and use it as a mirror to adjust your setup until your eyes are over the ball or just inside the ball. Keep on practicing until that setup feeling is ingrained and you can do it without the mirror.
