Silly Question on Ping G430 Driver

This is a silly question and please feel free to roast me if you find it necessary: 

I just got fit for a Ping G430 driver and it came in the mail this week. I’ve been taking some practice swings and the “whoosh” sound it makes sounds like there is a ton of drag, it also makes a whistling sound on the back swing. My old driver was/is a Callaway XR, so many that one is just different and the Ping is normal? But it almost sounds like air is filling a small hole on the backswing and a tail of paper or something is on the driver on the follow through. (obviously there’s not, I took the wrapping off haha)

 

Curious if anyone has noticed this (somehow I didn’t notice in my fitting)

My G425 does the same, maybe it's the turb's, maybe it's how you release the club in the impact zone , perhaps it's your 100 MPH plus S/S,  get out to the range & hit a few balls & watch them fly ... high, straight & long.

 

I hit it the G430 Max at Ping Demo day, couldn't justify the cost to upgrade .... it's a great driver.

YES!!! And it’s annoying as hell. I’m thinking about returning the driver and going with something else because of it. 
 

I’ve noticed it is especially bad if it’s windy. 
 

My first round I noticed it a few times but my last round it was windy and it happened on almost every hole. 
 

My swing speed is in the low 90s so it’s not because I am a fast swinger.

Yep it happens to me too. Gonna try to lead tape over some of the holes

Mine does it too...believe it's the weight port. Worse on the backswing though....but one of the best drivers I've had...not the longest.

Assuming once covered a little with some lead tape I can get it to quiet down. It’s distracting. Definitely a great driver. I think it’s pretty long. Def longer than the 400max I was using

It most likely does have alot more drag than the ops XR driver.  These long front to back heads all swing “ big”. And are harder to square.  Afterall. The turbulators weren’t thought of for no reason.   They cost $ to develop and add. And their reason must have been to eliminate or organize  the obvious drag to even it back out.

Every ping driver in the last decade has had the turbulators. I don’t believe that’s whistling sound some are hearing. I think it’s the weight in the back. If covered it shouldn’t be a problem. I am a longtime g400 max user and it doesn’t make that sound

Oh Sure. The whistling sound probably is just an aero anomaly in reverse.  ( backswing ). I just meant the whoosh overall.  Not bagging on ping. All newer  drivers swing huge. The stealth plus is an exception.  And the double black diamond paradigm is too. They seem to be more compact footprint.
