Fake driver shafts.

is there any chance these fake shafts are defects ones pulled from the lines these shafts are made at. I dont think its that unlikely an employee could do that. I know someone who worked at a shoe manufacturer and they where able to take defects the company would have otherwise thrown away

The Velocore logo is too small and placed too far from the tip. If the graphics were spot on, that would be a possibility. But I don't see the factory having incorrect logos.

something like that could be the defect itself though  all it takes is for something to happen while printing the logos and it not get caught until late in the manufacturing process having worked in manufacturing screwing up the printing of the logos wouldnt shock me

i wouldnt be confident saying that thats what this is but based on you getting good perfomance from it makes me wonder. You mention testing the frequency before did you by any chance ever get around to that?

I don't have any special equipment to do specialized testing, I was just thinking of things that could be tested.

Curious if this one fits the bill for being fake. First two things I noticed are how small Velocore is on the black shaft and how the font of the 6 doesn’t match the real shaft in red. It appears to match the non TR shafts but from what I can find online the TR Black 6-s has a different font for the 6.

immediately after receiving I noticed the size of Velocore and pulled the grip. No sticker under the grip either.

Thoughts on if this one is real or fake?IMG_4281.jpeg.12007c22fe5c7b82b606eb9f06bf21c9.jpegIMG_4282.jpeg.0bf5f2bf143520f6f98779cb9dc503c2.jpeg

100% Fake (the black one)

Ha, so they measured the fake shafts that came in the fake TaylorMade irons and they were all different thicknesses. 🤣

You can see some are noticeably more flexible than others.

Just watched, to me it looks like they're intentionally using whippy graphite iron shafts. They're using blue Tour AD iron shafts which AFAIK only come in 50g weights. The black versions of those go all the way up to 115g. Anyway, those guys probably shouldnt need to be playing a 50g shaft in their clubs, explains why they were so crappy with a PW and half decent with the longer clubs. They're probably fake 50g Tour AD driver shafts cut down to fit the iron heads haha.

So I bought a Stealth 2 because it had a Ventus TR Red 5R which is supposed to be the appropriate shaft for my swing speed. But it's 15 yards short of my Haywood with fake Ventus TR Black 6S.

I'm going to redo my stock shaft against this one again to see if it's swing changes.

<edit> also way higher on the Stealth 2, both at 9 degrees.

So I bought a Stealth 2 that had the same project x hzrdus black rdx 70 that came with my Haywood, so I figured it was worth revisiting. The tightest grouping (green) was with my fake shaft. Maybe it's because I am used to it.
